Layout: Baby Theresa – 1904

Last summer when my hubby and I went out to Southern California to see his son graduate from high school, my mother-in-law gave me copies of photos of her family, dating all the way back to 1880’s.  These two photos are of my husband’s great-grandmother, circa 1904. I am always a bit hesitant when it comes to “heritage” photos as I want to do them justice. The sketch over at Sketchabilities is what I needed to help jump start this layout.

Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my layout:

Baby Theresa

I used some vintage Basic Grey – “Kioshi” for the background paper, “Curio” for the brown pattern paper, chipboard alphas, and 3D flowers, and “Life of the Party” for the pink paper. The blue lace trim is by Webster’s Pages and the bling, chipboard clock and doily are from my stash.

Here’s a closer look at the flowers, which I clustered together:

This layout is also the example for my September Fashion Challenge over at A Cherry on Top that I host monthly. Check it out now!
