This layout was a lot of fun to work on and create. Its more of a “whimsical” style, which is something I hardly do, but still had fun with. Its always nice to get out of your comfort zone every once in a while.
I used Let’s Get Sketchy’s December Week 2 Sketch for the design:
This layout is also for ACOT’s Ad Challenge, which was supposed to be whimsical/animated. I strugged a bit with it, until I ran across those goofy pictures of Ruby Mae wearing a doggie blanket over her head (reminded me of a fortune teller). So with the sketch’s above help, and the goofy pictures – the “whimsical” part came a little easier. I misted the background with Tattered Angels mist and painted little gold stars using a stencil. The papers are from Basic Grey and Little Yellow Bicycle and the washi tape is Queen & Co. The cute doggie stickers were a gift from my sister in law – which I think helped in the overall finishing touches, as the doggie sticker is definetly “whimsical”.
Thanks for looking! š
