Layout: Merry Christmas

This layout features my sister in law’s beautiful tree this year. Its based on a sketch at Let’s Get Sketchy (December Week 3), and two challenges over at ACOT.

Here is the layout, using mostly Bo Bunny products:

Merry Christmas (2)

And here is the sketch:

December Team A week 2

The challenges at ACOT are for the December “3 in a Row” – where you play it like Tic-Tac-Toe. My choices were a free choice (chipboard), red (pattern paper and glitter glue) and Christmas element.

I also submitted this layout for December’s “Old is New Again” Challenge. This month, the hostess wanted us to get creative by using any found item that would normally NOT be on a layout or card. The title of this layout – Merry Christmas – is actually an ornament whose string broke a few years ago. I decided to use it on my layout because it had no sentimental value to anybody in my family. I brightened the red glitter title by using American Craft’s Zazz! glitter glue in Crimson. It really brightens it up!

TFL! 🙂

  1. You did an awesome job using the sketch! Love those pp’s and the swirl embellishment is so pretty, as is the Merry Christmas ornament. Thanks for joining us again at Let’s Get Sketchy! We always love seeing your work!

  2. LOVE how you used the old ornament on your layout – that’s something I’d do, I’m always keeping things like that lol. I love how you combined so many challenges together. And great job with that sketch! I was looking at it and couldn’t decide how I wanted to use it lol.

  3. I love this layout! So gorgeous and the tree too!! Love the flourish on the right and the title is perfect! You did a great job with it. How clever to add an ornament and brighten up the red. Fun!
