Usually I struggle with heritage photos, especially when they are over 50 years old, as I want to make sure I do them justice. But with the right papers/embellishments and sketch, this particular layout worked out alot better than most heritage layouts.
This layout features Theresa and Louis Soeton in 1912. Theresa was my husband’s great-grandmother. It is for A Cherry On Top’s Heritage Challenge – scrap siblings at least two generations older than you.
Here is a close up of the cluster of embellishments:
I based the layout on Sketchabilities Sketch #107
I chose the color palette – pink, green and yellow – to fit the A Cherry On Top CHA Color Palette Challenge. I had to use at least 3 of the following colors – Orange, Grapefruit, Lime, Lemon, and Honeydew. I can use other colors as well, but the majority of the layout had to be based on those colors. I chose to use papers and embellishments from Basic Grey’s “Hello Luscious” collection. Mist is from Tattered Angels; Washi Tape is from Love My Tapes; and Ribbon is from Pink Paislee. The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart.
TFL! 🙂
