Nuts About Sketches latest sketch is an amazing one! It allows the scrapper to go “wild”!
I decided to scrap some older photos of my step-son with his cat Mischa. These are dated February 2000.
And here the sketch:
I only had these two photos, so I went with replacing the smaller 2×2 photos on the right side with pattern paper squares from DCWV. I pulled out (okay, dusted off!) my deco scissors and made them pretty. I then continued to use the scraps and make a couple of arrows. I didn’t have alot of journaling (as I didn’t know him or his daddy at that time), so I went with a large title – using my Cricut and the CCR to weld some of the letters together.
And I loved the hanging tags that was supposed to be the title, so I kept that and instead use my Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract” to cut out the alpha tags. I loved that they were both circle and oval in shape. The thread is by WRMKs.
I was going to put one last arrow, pointing up, but instead fussy cut a cute little kitty from a sticker sheet by Pebbles.
The “pretty kitty” chipboard piece is by Bella Blvd. My cardstock is Bazzill. The large ring is from my stash, and I used Tattered Angels Mist in “It’s Red!” to go with my layout.
TFL! 🙂
Awesome take using the sketch! Your layout is fabulous!
