My parents’ dog Kandie crossed over to Rainbow Bridge last weekend. Saturday, at 10:30am to be exact. She was 14 1/2 years old. She was starting to develop a bad cough and last Monday the vet gave her meds. By Thursday, she was not getting any better. Coughing. Not eating. My parents took her back to the vet and had her monitored. They had an ultrasound and xrays done and found fluid in her lungs, as well as blood and cancer cells. 😦 She was a sweet sweet dog who loved nature, and I’m gonna miss her.
This was the last photo I took of her. Never thought the one I took 2 weeks ago was going to be the last….
In honor of Kandie, I’ve created a gallery of some of my favorite photos of her. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed being a part of Kandie’s life for the last 14 1/2 years.
- Just 6 wks old!
- All tuckered out!
- I think she needs a new place to sleep
- What a sweetie!
- Her BFF — Butterscotch!
- What a pretty girl!
- Just look at that face!
- LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the water!
- Just chilling
- Even at 12 yrs old…playing with the water
- All snuggled up, napping
- Nighty night!
- Even at 14 yrs old, loved being wrapped up in blankets!
Sweet Kandie. It is so hard when they leave us. What a wonderful gallery of pics of her. ((Hugs)) Brandy.
Thank you Barb. I know she is no longer suffering and she lived a long life. And she’s running around with Lady Lou and her bff Butterscotch.
Losing a pet is so hard. Hugs to you and your parents.
Thank you Lisa.
