Baby Girl

Last night I decided to break out my gelatos. I only have one set, and I’m still new to using them, but after watching some videos on youTube, I’m hooked. And I just ordered a few more sets from A Cherry On Top! They should be here tomorrow! 🙂

I used a stencil for my design, and used Studio Calico’s newest doggie collection “Baxter”. I just LOVE the colors in this collection!

This layout is based on a sketch at Let’s Get Sketchy (May – Week 2)

As you can tell, I pretty much stuck to the sketch fairly well. Instead of the rings, I used a Doodlebug Doily, and added a Webster’s Pages paper clip.

This layout is also based on my Fashion Challenge that I’m hosting from now until mid-June over at ACOT. Its based on this outfit I found on Pinterest:

I was drawn to the skirt almost immediately. The colors are fantastic – especially the watermelon reddish pink it has, along with the bit of light green, turquoise. And the way the colors blended together, it just screamed “gelatos”!! I also loved the pairing of just a white tshirt, which worked well with my layout as that is the color of cardstock I started off with. My “texture” is from the corrugated cardstock that I have underneath my photos. And my “gold” are the alphas, star paper clip and the little triangles in the vellum.

Here are the products I used:

Gelatos: Faber-Castell
Alphas, puffy stickers, pattern paper, vellum: Studio Calico
Corrugated Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Star paper clip: Webster’s Pages
Stencil: The Crafter Workshop
Doily: Doodlebug
Green heart with arrow: Mambi
SWAK tab: from stash

TFL! 🙂
