This whole week I’ve been working on Thanksgiving pictures from last year. I’m not even half way done and I know I’ll have another 100+ after this years! LOL!
I chose to scrap this photo of one of my aunt’s with her son:
The design for this layout is based on this week’s sketch at Let’s Get Sketchy:
LOVE the white space, the layers and the mixed media behind the photo.
I also combined this layout with two ACOT Challenges. The first one is for the Manufacturer Challenge – to use anything from a company that starts with the letter M. I originally started with a background paper from Moxxie, but after using gesso and mist, it wasn’t taking the mixed media very well. Some of the mist actually seeped thru the other side! Since I wanted a wooden background, I went with this sheet from MME. Its alot thicker and definetly could hold up to all the misting. The enamel dots are also by MME. My chipboard pieces are from MAMBI and the smaller alphas are by My Little Shoebox. My other products are Tatterred Angels (the mists) and SEI (pattern papers).
The second ACOT challenge is the Numbers Challenge. Sandi is using a countdown method, and we must use 1 of something, 2 of something, and so forth until we reach 5. My countdown is
1 = picture
2 = word title
3 = mists (plum, black, gold)
4 = chipboard pieces
5 = enamel dots
