Good afternoon everyone and Happy Valentine’s Day!
When I saw Bo Bunny’s February sketch, I immediately fell in love with it. Its a single photo sketch with a bunch of circles for layers. I love being able to take scraps of paper that I normally wouldn’t be able to use and punch them out using my circle punches.
So here is the wonderful sketch:
And here is my take on it:
Its me and my friends at book club 4 yrs ago. We were reading “Confessions of a Shopholic” and we decided to snap this group photo of us.
The main collection I used was Bo Bunny’s “Weekend Market” (background paper, alphas and little stickers). Since I only had a few sheets of that collection and they were all dark, I branched out and used other Bo Bunny collections, based on the colors from Weekend Market.
The golden yellow paper is from Zoology. The teal green paper is from Flower Child (remember that one? an oldie but a goodie!). The olive green is “Little Miss” and the scalloped brown paper and the red stamped pattern paper is from Etc. It was fun mixing and matching.
I added a few drops of white mist from Studio Calico.
This layout is also for Quick Quotes Challenge #60 – use scraps of paper in your project. With the exception of the background paper, everything was scraps leftover from those collections I mentioned above.
This layout also goes with ACOT’s “What’s On TV? Challenge”. This month, the hostess chose “M*A*S*H” as the TV show for inspiration. We had to have a photo that had at least ONE of those letters in it. Mine has all but the “M”.
TFL! 🙂
