Good afternoon everyone! Today I have a new layout featuring a watercolor background and “slicing” a photo.
The “slicing” of the photo was inspired by ACOT’s “What’s on TV?” Challenge. Joannie chose “Life in Pieces”, which in turn, made the challenge to have at least one photo that is in at least 3 pieces. I really love how it turned out, as you have to have the PERFECT photo for this particular technique.
The design is based on Let’s Get Sketchy Week 2 sketch:
I really love all the white space, and usually I leave it “as is”, but decided to break into my gelatos to create a watercolor background. I had originally went with yellows and oranges, but mixed with the pink..it just didn’t look right. So I went with a pink gelato in Watermelon and it turned out a whole lot better IMO! 😉
All the products that aren’t mixed media – brads, washi, chipboard, pattern papers, stickers – are Basic Grey “Highline” collection.
TFL! 🙂
