Hello everyone! I managed to get one layout done last week. Its part of a “Collection Bashing” Challenge over at A Cherry On Top.
I have “bashed” collections before, but as I was deciding on which one to do, I came across leftover pieces I have from 2 KaiserCraft pet collections. I had 4 full sheets of pattern paper and lots of scraps but perfect for layering, fussy cutting and photo mats. LOTS of those branding strips and 2 sheets of stickers. One was full and the other one had just a few missing. PLUS half of a package of ephemera.

I added the brown dog bone paperclip because I figured with all the browns, it would match. I also grabbed alphas in various shades of brown/cream that I thought would go well.
My goal is to do at LEAST four layouts using this collection.
My first layout (so far, as this challenge goes on thru July 31st) is of older photos of my parents’ dog Little Bit who passed away a couple of years ago.

I started with the wood grain background and using the lines on the background, I lined up the branding strips (those are just HALF!). Then I matted the two photos and placed them down and saw the two large phrases I could fussy cut from pattern paper (All Great Friendships…..and Dogs leave paw prints….). I then found the cute quote “A dog is the only thing….” and tucked it underneath a photo while using the top portion of the “dogs leave paw prints” layered on top of the top photo. Then I scattered several word art stickers here and there where they would fit.
TFL! 🙂
