Good morning everyone! I know it’s been awhile and the past month has been super busy.
May 1st was National Scrapbooking Day and I ended up playing at A Cherry On Top during the festivities. I was also honored to be a hostess for a two hour block on NSD too! I offered two challenges – a Fashion Challenge and a Pinterest Challenge with a Twist. My fashion challenge was based on a Mood Board that I supplied and scrapbookers had to choose at least 3 items that inspired them.

And here is how I was inspired by it:
1. True Friends as a title, with a hint of gold (washi tape, alphas, and the doggie paper clip).
2. The nails (middle photo) – browns and teal, bones (border sticker), paw prints (stickers) and “woof” (washi tapes).
3. lacy leggings (doily)

My second challenge was to choose a layout to scraplift or a sketch to use from Pinterest and the TWIST was to use ONLY products that are from manufacturers who are no longer in business. And for me, that means BASIC GREY! Freebies were any and all tools (punches, die cutting, etc) and inks.
I chose this layout to scraplift:

And this is my take on it:

For the twist, I used LOTS of Basic Grey – papers, rub ons and chipboard pieces, along with alphas and other stickers. I also used Zva Creative bling for the centers of the butterflies.
For the following week, I would do at least ONE layout per day (during the work week) with 3-4 layouts per weekend day. Here are my creations:

There were SO Many challenges that I didn’t even get to do, but I did 12! That’s a new record in my book!
TFL! 🙂
