May 2020 Layouts

Hello everyone and no time long “see”! This month has been a busy one and I figured I’d share with you the layouts I’ve created this month by posting them all together.

To start with, Saturday, May 2nd, was National Scrapbooking Day (NSD). There were online crops, challenges, games and blog hops galore! A Cherry On Top hosted a FABULOUS NSD crop and it lasted THREE days! At last count, there were a total of 42 challenges! 42!! I only did about a handful since they were due within one week. But one of our regular members is hosting a REWIND NSD Challenge where you can complete the ones you didn’t get to do.

I’ll show you the ones I did for the actual NSD, then I’ll post the ones I’ve been working on lately for the REWIND challenge. We do have until the end of the month! So I might be able to squeeze in one or two! Who knows!

I did a variety of layouts too – my nephews, furbabies, nephew’s 1st birthday and meeting my bio father/family for the first time.

In no particular order….

After NSD festivities were over with, the girl in charge of the Rewind challenge created an NSD Rewind Challenge. So here are those layouts that I’ve been able to work on throughout the month.

We have until Sunday, so I’m hoping go get a few more done. Wish me luck!

TFL! 🙂

Adorable Furbabies, April 30th

Good morning everyone! My furkids have been super cute lately!

Mr. Jackson looks like an angel when he’s curled up in his kitty bed sleeping

Shelby was posing so sweetly as I took her picture

Penny loves to sun herself

One evening a gecko caught Jackson’s eye. Thank goodness that gecko was OUTSIDE!

Miss Penny also loves to chill out in the shade

And when she’s hungry and has to wait for breakfast, she looks so serious

On April 27th, it was Shelby and Jasmine’s Adoption Day! We adopted them from the Gulf Coast Humane Society 3 years ago. I can’t believe its been 3 years already! Just check out how little they were (squeal!) and how grown up they look now.

As a special treat, they received blueberry doggie ice cream and vanilla cookies. Yummy!

And last but not least, can you see Jackson?

He was birdie watching!

Until next time, bark and meow on! 🙂

Adorable Furbabies, April 14th

Hello everyone! Hope everyone has had a great day so far. The fur kids have been super cute lately!

Shelby was getting a little needy one day last week and wanted me to take a break from work and hang out with her instead.

Such a BIG stretch!

Jazzy is a hoarder of toys, but its okay. They make amazing pillows!

We slept in last Friday since it was a Holiday and my husband had the day off. Jackson wasn’t amused and hung out with me while I brushed my teeth.

Penny napped while I did laundry

I was trying to make a card and Jackson had other plans.

I tried moving him and he got mad! He ran over to his chair next to me and grabbed my chair and tried to get me! LOL.

I ordered an Easter basket for the puppies from The Dog Bakery. It arrived Saturday afternoon. It came with a cute carob ducky cake, 2 easter egg cookies and a bag of treats. I added to it and got them another half dozen of cookies and a bag of jerky. A few toys from PetCo too. They enjoyed everything!

And last but not least, this is a crazy pic. Penny was sunning herself and I wanted to take her picture. But she got up and I got her in “mid-get-up” and she looks like an extra large corgi!

Until next time, bark and meow on! 🙂

Christmas Layouts

Good afternoon everyone. Yes, you read right. Christmas layouts in Spring! And its not even last years Christams photos either. Its 2018!

I chose to scrap Christmas because one of the items listed as a “Motivational Challenge” over at ACOT was to create a kit and make a few layouts and/or cards with it. I’m horrible with kits but I only have limited supplies in the Christmas Scrapbooking World. I have one 12×12 paper pad, a 6×8 paper pad, a bag of embellishments and a small container of washi tape.

And here is the kit I created:

And here are the layouts I created using that kit. I did 1 two pager and 4 singles.

Santa Baby: I used everything from my kit except I added some gold heat embossing

Joy: I added washi tape to this layout

Its based on the latest Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge at ACOT:

Joy to the World: Added washi tape to this layout

The next two layouts are from Christmas 2018, but I didn’t use very much from the kit because they are photos of my girls opening their Christmas presents. I ended up using the DCWV “Christmas Pals” paper stack and PhotoPlay “Muttcracker” collection.

I probably have about 4 more layouts I can do for Christmas 2018 and I’ll be done!

TFL! 🙂

Puppy Layouts

Hello everyone! Last weekend I managed to get 4 layouts completed and they were all for Jasmine and Shelby’s Puppy Photo Shoot from almost 3 years ago. And guess what? I completed the album AND have just bits/pieces leftover from the collection kit I was using – Doodlebug’s “Puppy Love”.

Love at furst sight: Design based on the Becky Fleck Sketch #166. Products used is Bo Bunny background paper and green pattern paper; Basic Grey yellow-orange pattern paper. Everything else is Doodlebug.

“Love You”: Combined two Graphic Design Rewind Challenges – use of Quotations and having no spaces between my title. I used Bo Bunny alphas, Basic Grey chipboard quotations, Jillibean Soup “today” sticker and the rest is Doodlebug.

Fun Times: Another layout submitted to the Graphic Design Rewind Challenge. This one was for “Trails”. I used Bo Bunny pattern papers, Doodlebug enamel dots and paper clips, Thickers, Suzy’s Zoo word phrase stickers, Forever in Time glittered paw prints and ball sticker. The doggie sticker near the title was from stash.

Its’a Dog Thing: I used The Paper Studio cardstock and “dog” sticker, Doodlebug pattern papers and enamel dots, Echo Park “BARK” cut out and alphas and Fancy Pants chipboard.

Adorable Furbabies, April 3rd

Good morning everyone! My furkids have been super adorable this week!

The big girls snoozing away on the couch

Last weekend they got some yummy duck necks!

I was scrapping on Sunday and Mr. Jackson decided he was going to snooze on my stuff. LOL.

On Monday, as I was getting dressed after my shower, Shelby came RUNNING to let me know about something. Jackson brought in a dove! I managed to get the dove back outside. It wasn’t flying as it had a wound on its back.

Last night, Shelby wanted Daddy to pay attention to her instead of what was on his laptop so she brought him a toy and dropped it in front of him!

Last but not least, I got a cute pic of sweet Jackson napping.

Until next time, bark and meow on! 🙂

Layouts: Blessed and We Belong Together

Hello everyone! I have a couple of layouts I’d like to share with you.

I did a two pager using Bo Bunny “Beautifully Brisk” collection.

I hadded Nuvo drops in pale gold to add dimension to the dots in the tree die cut

I used glitter glue to enhance the tops of the acorns

My layout is based on the following sketch for the March Double Page challenge on ACOT

My next layout features a couple of more photos of the puppy photo shoot 3 years ago. I’m holding little Jasmine ❤ ❤

I used alot of Doodlebug with washi tape by Recollections and background paper by Bo Bunny. This is based on Becky Fleck Sketch #164 from ACOT

Thanks for looking! 🙂

Adorable Furbabies, March 26th

Hello everyone! I have another round of cute pics of the furkids!

When I go on my morning walk, sometimes I’m greeted by a kitty. Don’t know her name, but I’m tempted to bring her home!

Sometimes after a full day of staying busy, I find Penny passed out like she worked hard too!

Mr. Jackson being Mr. Cool

He’s pretty cool when he is napping on my chair too

Shelby is starting to STARE at you to get you to do what she wants. Just look at that sweet face!

Jazzy likes to pop her head up to see what you are doing

At 3PM, Shelby got my attention, informing me that all dogs must go outside.

And what do they all decided to do? Sunbathe!

Until next time, bark and meow on!

Adorable Furbabies, March 17th

Good afternoon everyone! With everything going on in the world today, hope my furbabies can put a smile on your face.

Two weekends ago, my husband had to go into work for a few hours. And Shelby was waiting on him.

Later that day, I caught Miss Jazzy looking so pretty right before her eye lids shut.

And then Jackson was a total HAM!

My husband was working on trying to find the valves to our backyard sprinklers. The girls were supervising while he was digging.

Last week, the girls’ order from the Dog Bakery showed up. It was their “Junk Food” collection!

Something caught Penny AND Shelby’s eye down the cul de sac. What was cute was that they were sharing a bed!

Mr. Jackson looking chill under the car

It was a beautiful day Saturday and Penny took advantage of it to sun herself

And last but not least, we were working on our taxes Sunday afternoon and Shelby decided that it was time to take a break! LOL

Until next time, bark and meow on! 🙂

Layout: So dog-gone cute

Hello everyone! I managed to get some scrappy time last night and to make it easy on myself, I did the Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge that ACOT is hosting. The sketch is very versatile

And here is my take on it:

Everything I used is by Doodlebug (cardstock is Bazzill). The pics are of my husband with baby Shelby! Almost 3 years ago!

TFL! 🙂
