Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is staying cool from the brutal summer heat everyone is experiencing. My furkids are staying cool by staying INSIDE!
On Monday, I went into town to check out a brand new pet store here called Earthwise Pet. They had just opened up a few days ago and I’ve been anticipating on them opening. And they didn’t disappoint! They had tons of stuff – foods/treats, along with some alternative medicines (CBD oil for example). They had shirts, pet decor, essentials, food, treats, etc. They even have homemade dog cookies, dog ice cream and a doggie cookie and cake mixes available too. I know where I will go for my girls’ birthdays! They also have a small cat section too. They offer “spa” services too – nail trim, hair cuts, shampoos, etc. They reminded me of a smaller version of Dogologie. We have one in Fredricksburg (near Austin) and I really love going to that one. I bought Jackson a couple of new treats (he’s super picky) and for the girls, I picked up some dried duck hearts, CBD treats, sweet potato treats, no-hide peanut butter bones, 3 homemade cookies, peanut butter ice cream, cookie mix, and a shirt for myself.
Monday, they received each a cookie and a sweet potato treat. Jackson got some Alaskan Salmon bites. Everyone enjoyed their new treats!
Later that evening, Penny looked like she was giving up on the day. She was OUT!
Shelby appeared to be throwing in the towel by Wednesday morning! LOL
And last but not least, I gave the girls’ their no-hide peanut butter bones. It looks just like rawhide, but it isn’t. Its easy to digest and again, another treat that was a hit!
Good afternoon everyone! Been extremely busy the last several weeks, so I only have just a few photos to share with you all.
The Dog Bakery was offering a Summer Barkecue Box that consisted of maple bacon ice cream, a beer can plush squeak toy, a giant hamburger cookie, a bag of barbque dog biscuits and a festive bandana. All the girls enjoyed the ice cream and cookie (chopped up of course) and playing with the toy. I had to get an extra plush toy so both Shelby and Jasmine could play with one.
They each posed for me beautifully with their bandana! Shelby was the one who wore it for a few hours. She didn’t want to take it off!
Good morning everyone! I’ve been a very busy bee with work, babysitting my nephew and hosting Mother’s Day one weekend and the following weekend a Gender Reveal for my brother and Sister in law. Whew! I need a little break! So what better way than to share some sweet photos of my furbabies.
One evening I found Penny sleeping, passed out on the couch with her tongue out. LOL
Shelby staring at me.
Earlier in the month, my husband was fixing the wood rot on a window and he had an audience supervising him all the way
Our ice maker was over flowing so we gave the pups some ice. Doggie Snowcones!
My 2 girls hanging out together on a dog bed
A story behind this photo of Jackson. Jackson brought in a lizard and dropped it off. I scooped it up and took it back outside. The look on his face is priceless! Not a happy kitty!
Last but not least, we celebrated National Rescue Dog Day this past Monday with Frosty Paws and special Rescue/Adopt cookies from The Dog Bakery.
Good evening everyone! My furkids have been really cute lately, posing for the camera.
Shelby was posing nicely with her legs crossed. What’s funny is that her bone is standing up. LOL
Jackson has been hanging out with his sisters alot. Here he is laying by Jasmine.
Jackson was being extremely goofy yesterday and posed for me standing up at the gate.
And on to ANOTHER Jackson story. Jackson decided to bring in a bird today – a dove. I was walking down the hallway when he came inside with the bird in his mouth. I told him to go back outside, but he ran off to the living room. He released it, and the bird flew into my office, landing on top of my desk. I was in the process of texting my husband about it when he got spooked and tried escaping via my windows. The bird ran into them a few times before settling down into a dog bed. That allowed me to grab an old towel, pick it up and release it outside in the front yard. I checked it over and it wasn’t injured and it flew away. And FAST too.
Good morning everyone! I know its been a while since I’ve posted my layouts. Just don’t have a lot of time to create lately. So in a month, I’ve done 4 layouts. They are photos taken by my photographer friend back in May 2017. She did a photo shoot of Jasmine and Shelby along with the rest of us when the girls were only 3 months old. I’ve been using the Doodlebug “Puppy Love” collection for these photos and I only have just a few more photos to go.
Bow to the Wow: This was for my own Pet Challenge and Rewind Challenge (March Double Page Layout Challenge). I used Bella Blvd washi tape, Thickers and Simple Stories mini alphas. The shimmery cardstock is by the Paper Studio and of course, everything else is Doodlebug.
I Ruff You: This was the ACOT Becky Fleck Sketch and Graphic Design Challenge. The hostess put together a Rewind of her challenge from 7 years ago. I chose to do the “Objects as Letters” challenge, using a paw print for the “o” in my title. Cardstock is Bazzill and everything else is Doodlebug.
Majestically Beautiful: My photographer friend captured Penny’s true essence in these photos and that is why I chose the title I used. It’s for the Graphic Design Challenge – “Two font title”. My alphas are Cloud 9 Design and Simple Stories and my washi tape is Recollections.
Me & You: Another layout for the Graphic Design challenge – “Ampersand”. The ampersand had to be a different font, color, etc from the rest of the title. My ampersand was actually a pale glittery yellow and I misted it with some Tattered Angels lime green mist. I really like how it kept the glittery aspect. Its definetly different! I also used Bo Bunny cardstock and brown alphas, KaiserCraft veneer words, Freckled Fawn heart paper clip and Fancy Pants tiny alphas (on the banner). The pattern papers, washi tape, doilies, banner, twine, and enamel shape hearts are all Doodlebug.
