Hello everyone! It has been a while since I did any scrapping and a couple of weekends ago, I actually did a layout. Its for ACOT’s Graphic Design Challenge and I combined with the Sketch with a Twist Challenge. The Graphic Design challeng gave us a choice of some logos and we must only use those colors. The hostess also gave us a bonus where you can use any aspect of the logo itself besides the colors. The logo I chose was “Hello Kitty” and I chose to scrap about my kitty, Jackson, for the bonus.
Here is my layout:
As you can see, I used only black, white and red. Jackson loves laying under the Christmas Tree, so he got his stocking full of treats under there. He looks very pleased with “Santa Paws”. Christmas 2018
My layout is based on the following sketch, along with the “twist” (must use at least two tags. I used three):
My list of products is as follows:
background paper: Reminisce “meow” washi tape: Doodlebug cat die cut, “here kitty kitty” sticker, glittery red/white striped paper: The Paper Studio chipboard shapes: Basic Grey red washi tape with phrases: Recollections “Merry & Bright” tag: Mambi stocking: Paper House Productions red/white tag: Echo Park b/w tag: Canvas Corp
Good morning everyone! I know its been a while since I’ve posted my layouts. Just don’t have a lot of time to create lately. So in a month, I’ve done 4 layouts. They are photos taken by my photographer friend back in May 2017. She did a photo shoot of Jasmine and Shelby along with the rest of us when the girls were only 3 months old. I’ve been using the Doodlebug “Puppy Love” collection for these photos and I only have just a few more photos to go.
Bow to the Wow: This was for my own Pet Challenge and Rewind Challenge (March Double Page Layout Challenge). I used Bella Blvd washi tape, Thickers and Simple Stories mini alphas. The shimmery cardstock is by the Paper Studio and of course, everything else is Doodlebug.
I Ruff You: This was the ACOT Becky Fleck Sketch and Graphic Design Challenge. The hostess put together a Rewind of her challenge from 7 years ago. I chose to do the “Objects as Letters” challenge, using a paw print for the “o” in my title. Cardstock is Bazzill and everything else is Doodlebug.
Majestically Beautiful: My photographer friend captured Penny’s true essence in these photos and that is why I chose the title I used. It’s for the Graphic Design Challenge – “Two font title”. My alphas are Cloud 9 Design and Simple Stories and my washi tape is Recollections.
Me & You: Another layout for the Graphic Design challenge – “Ampersand”. The ampersand had to be a different font, color, etc from the rest of the title. My ampersand was actually a pale glittery yellow and I misted it with some Tattered Angels lime green mist. I really like how it kept the glittery aspect. Its definetly different! I also used Bo Bunny cardstock and brown alphas, KaiserCraft veneer words, Freckled Fawn heart paper clip and Fancy Pants tiny alphas (on the banner). The pattern papers, washi tape, doilies, banner, twine, and enamel shape hearts are all Doodlebug.
Good morning everyone. I managed to get a few layouts done over the weekend and would love to share them with you.
Its Playtime: I chose to cut my title using my Cricut, and backed the negative space with Reminisce “Its a Dog’s Life” pattern papers. I did the March Rewind Challenge, going back to the Feb Technique Challenge. It was based on the 2 teams who went to the Super Bowl. I chose the RAMS and my letters are: R – Reminisce papers/stickers (Roll Over border; Sit Stay Roll over border, silly puppy word bubble) A- Adhesive M – Mrs. Grossman’s puppy sticker S – Shimmerz mist in Mustard Seed
Other products used – cardstock: Bazzill paw print stickers: Sticko vellum stickers (dog faces, word art, tennis balls): MAMBI and The Paper Studio “A day in the life of a dog” sticker: Card Craft Stickers 3d dog and tennis ball: Paper House Productions journal spots (used as layers): Jillibean Soup “beware of dog” sticker: from stash
Inseparable: I went back and did the Feb Color & Shape Challenge. I had use at least 3 of the colors in the prompt (I chose 2 shades of pink, along with white and black) and hearts. I have hearts on my pattern paper and a few small enamel shapes.
Products used on this layout –
papers, alphas: Bo Bunny doilies, pink and white enamel dots, pink enamel shapes: Doodlebug bling: Want2Scrap “love this” chipboard, “anything is possible” clip: MAMBI
Love This Girl: I went back and did Feb Title Challenge. Had to use the prompt “Love this….” and something “shiny”. My “shiny” objects are some Want2Scrap Pearls.
Other products used – cardstock: Bazzill papers/stickers: Authentique grey alphas: Bo Bunny light blue chipboard alphas: Basic Grey enamel dots/shapes: Echo Park, MME pearls: Want2Scrap “dog lover” sticker: from stash
(Life is Short) Make it Sweet: I went back and did the Feb Music Challenge. I had to use a song title or lyrics with the word “sweet” in it. I chose to use Old Dominion’s song “Make it Sweet”. Photos are of Shelby and my friend Amanda taking selfies together. Shelby LOVES taking selfies and as you can see was trying to give Amanda a KISS!
Products used on this layout – Shimmerz paints/mists pattern papers, hashtag word art stickers, cell phone sticker: Echo Park chipboard, yellow paper clip, green alphas: Freckled Fawn “our happy place”, “love to laugh” chipboard: MAMBI green journal spots, die cuts: Jillibean Soup pink mini alphas: My Little Shoebox sweet alphas: Thickers triangle stickers, big deal sticker, tag: from stash
We love to Create: This last layout is for the March Book Lover’s Challenge. We are given two options and I chose option #2, which was to use 3 different pattern papers, photos only in the top and bottom rows, with my journaling and title in the middle. Embellish any way you like and use any subject.
Photos were taken at our Summer Crop, 2018. Everything is Echo Park “I’d rather be crafting”.
Good evening everyone! I worked on a couple of layouts over this past weekend, featuring Shelby and Jasmine when they were little (3 months old).
My first layout uses the brand new DCWV “Playful Pets” collection. This is for the Rewind Challenge over at A Cherry On Top. I went back and did the February Sketch with a Twist Challenge. The “twist” was to use something “puffy”. My “puffy” item is a camera sticker by Freckled Fawn. I also used Bazzill cardstock in Classic Yellow, alphas by Queen & Co and a Karen Foster “dog bowl” sticker. The washi tape is from my stash.
The second layout is of sweet Jasmine and Jackson snuggling together on a dog bed. I chose to do the Rewind Challenge again, this time doing the February Prompt Challenge. “Love is in the air” was the prompt. It had hearts, a sweet dog/cat image. I chose that for inspiration. I also had to use stenciling. I used a Heidi Swapp cascading Hearts stencil and CTMH ink.
My papers/chipboard are all Bo Bunny “head over heels” collection. I wrapped Doodlebug twine around the heart and added a few pieces of Glitz Designs gems. The clear word stickers – “My Best Friend” and “Adorable” are from The Paper Studio. Washi tape and paw print bling is from my stash
Good evening everyone! No time long see! I’ve been so busy lately, I only have time to load pics of the furbabies. But I actually had some time yesterday to scrap. And it felt great!
This first layout is of our sweet Bear. Photos are about 5 years old. There was this small tree right by the house and Bear would pull the leaves off and eat them. Just like a koala bear; hence the title of this layout:
I used mostly Basic Grey (Origins collection – stickers, background paper) and Freckled Fawn (enamel dots). My alphas are by My Little Shoebox and I used my Cricut to cut out the circles. This is for a couple of challenges on A Cherry On Top. Rewind Challenge (January Book Lover’s Challenge – Option 2 (use one of the several sketches provided)) and Manufacturer Challenge (use B, E, and/or F).
Second layout is 3 of our 4 past dogs – Jeffrey, Bear and Lady.
The design is based on the sketch provided by Deanna for the January Sketch with a Twist Challenge (again, doing this for February Rewind Challenge). The “twist” was to use 10+ sequins. My quote die cut and pattern paper are PhotoPlay. Everything else is from my stash.
With the end of the year nearing, you tend to see the “TOP” whatever being posted for the year. This year, I’m posting my TOP TEN layouts that I’ve created this year. Usually its a hard task, but I’ve been busier this year than I normally am, so not as many layouts to choose from. But in no particular order, here are my Top 10 Layouts of 2018:
Magic of Winter
You are Purr-fect
I would do anything for a tennis ball
You’re the cat’s meow
Another Day in Paradise
I hope you enjoyed looking back at a creative 2018. Here’s to 2019! Let’s make it creative and fun!
Hello everyone. I had some time over the weekend to get 2 layouts done featuring pics that were taken over 3 years ago. Penny and Bella were playing in the pool. I used Echo Park “Splash” collection and even my SewEasy on the first layout.
Cute and Adorable – that’s how I’d describe my 2 girls Shelby and Jasmine. These two layouts were done in all Doodlebug, and the pics were taken by a very talented photographer friend. I promise you you’ll squeal with such joy and excitement when you see the pics!
Aren’t those pics adorable or what? I can’t believe they were THAT little JUST a year and a half ago!
