Stay Warm

Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Its dreary out here and so I’m staying in, scrapping!

This next layout, surprisingly, came together rather quickly. In 30 mins, I had a completed layout! That usually doesn’t happen. I think its because I didn’t overthink it. I really want to use up this Basic Grey “Paper Cottage” collection. I had stickers, alphas and good size scraps. With the help of a LGS sketch, this is what I came up with:

Stay Warm

Ruby, Penny and LB staying warm in their little doggie coats (Jan 2015). Since there was alot of red and pink, with a hint of blue, I chose a light bluish teal cardstock for my background. Added the stencil/mist, with washi tape and just started piling on the layers. Here is the sketch:

Team A Week 2

Kind of stayed true to the sketch – in particular of placement of elements/photos/borders.

The circular photos are for ACOT’s Cherryland Challenge. I chose Maraschino cherry. I also combined with ACOT’s 3 in a Row Challenge. Its BINGO style this month and I went with 1st Row: cardstock; frame; inking; color blue; and stencil.

I knocked out quite a few items off my April 2016 Use It or Lose It Challenge. I have no more paper from the BG collection. Used the xoxo stamp again and the die cut heart frame, along with 2 more of those puffy stickers from CTMH.

TFL! 🙂

Hello!

This next layout features a friend’s dog, River. When we first moved into our home last year, we had somebody visiting us each weekend, at least, so they could see the place. And that included doggies! My friend wanted to get her dog to socialize with others, and my 3 are pretty friendly.

Hello

Isn’t she gorgeous? Just look at that sweet doggie smile!

This layout is for ACOT’s Washi Challenge – to use washi tape to cover raw chipboard. I do not have very much “raw” chipboard, but I did find this medium size bone! So I covered it up with American Crafts washi tape. To add interest, I fussy cut the phrase “All you need is love…and a dog” from a sheet of Canvas Corp Kraft pattern paper.

The pattern papers (except the chevrons) are by Basic Grey “Paper Cottage”, which is part of my April Use It or Lose It Challenge (along with the Canvas Corp paper). I used a few stickers from the sticker sheet too (To Do Today tag; bow; border strip). The puffy stickers and special event tag are also from my April Challenge.

The teal pattern paper, word bubble and enamel dots are Echo Park; with veneers from CTMH (as well as puffies).

And with that said, all I have left from the Basic Grey “Paper Cottage” Collection are the alphas and half of the sticker sheet. But the paper is GONE!

TFL!
