Hi There

Good afternoon everyone! I bet you all are ready for the weekend! I know I am!

Today, I’m sharing with you a layout that I did for my Fashion Challenge on ACOT. Its based on the following Pinterest image:

Fashion Challenge

I just love the color combo, don’t you?!? Here is my take on these gorgeous colors:

Hi There

A cute selfie of Lady Lou and I from 2013. She was such a happy girl!

I used papers/stickers from Fancy Pants “Park Bench”. The chevrons are actually the border strips that I fussy cut from my Use It or Lose It post. I even used the stamps (paw prints, bone, and doggie) from Inkadinkado.

The bling is Prima and MME.

Count Your Blessings

Good afternoon everyone! This next layout was inspired by Bo Bunny’s awesome July sketch:

July2016sketch

And here is my take on it:

Count Your Blessings

I used mostly Bo Bunny “Country Garden” papers, fussy cutting the sayings, the butterfly and frames. The chipboard frame and flourishes and bling are all Bo Bunny. The small bluish pattern paper, torn, is Bo Bunny “Etc”.  The bling is from my Use It or Lose It Challenge.

Photos are of Lady Lou, Jeffrey James, and Lady Bear back in May 2013. Sadly, the girls have both passed away – Lady Lou in 2014 and Bear last year. I felt the title fit really well.

I’m combining this layout with ACOT’s 3 in a Row Challenge. I chose the Middle Row: chipboard (the flourishes and frames); lined paper (photo mats and background paper); double matted photo (the large one at the top).

Sketches in Thyme #198

Good morning all! Sketches in Thyme this week is showcasing a sketch by the very talented Bev Code:

Team 2 Sketch

And here is my version of this sketch:

May 9th Layout

These pics are of Lady Lou, who some of ya might remember passed away a couple of years ago. These pics were perfect for this sketch. I have always scrapped Lady in pink and felt the yellow really popped.

I added washi to match my colors, pairing them with some chevron bling from my April Use It or Lose It Challenge, using it this month as a second chance item.

The veneers are from Crate Paper, which I colored using a Watermelon gelato. The yellow doily is from Doodlebug. The pink pattern paper and silver bone paper is by Anna Griffin.

My journaling reads:
When Lady Lou was younger, she used to never play with toys or chew on bones. But one day, when she was about 12 yrs old, she picked up a rawhide chip and started chewing!

I Love The Way You Love Me

I had a wonderful weekend scrapping with my friends. Our Summer Crop was this past Friday and Saturday at my house. Great food, awesome convo, great time with friends. I managed to do 4 layouts and get started on another one. So each day this week, I’ll share with you one of the layouts.

The first one I did was for ACOT’s Music Challenge. Barb wanted us to select a song that makes us emotional. It could be happiness, sadness, excitement, etc. Since I’m still working on my New Home Owner Pictures, I chose the song “I Love The Way You Love Me” by John Michael Montgomery. Its my husband’s fave song and when it comes on the radio, he turns it up and will sing it to me.

I Love the way you love me

I used mostly Teresa Collections “Nine & Co.” (pattern papers, stickers, brads), with cardstock/flowers from Recollections and bling from Zva Creative.

The layout is based on Sketches in Thyme Sketch #153. And its by one of my fave designers Shawn Lahr! 🙂

Jeffrey using NAS Sketch #352

Jeffrey. My sweet boy. What can I say? He loves the camera and the camera loves him!

And what better sketch to work with than Nuts About Sketches? The latest one is a two pager, and it uses one 6X4 and 2 small 2X2s.  Its a really gorgeous and fun sketch!

352 - Due 1-11-15

352 - Brandy

As you can tell, I rotated the sketch, to better suite my needs. I just love the smaller photos in the corner – with the tearing on the sides. Just awesome!

My products consist of Bo Bunny “Happy Tails” (button, enamel dots, bling, pattern paper, border sticker and chipboard border), followed by Prima wood veneer polaroid frames, Queen & Co washi tape and American Craft alphas.

Layout: This is the Life

Oh, yes, the life of our dogs. They spend most of their days just relaxing, especially my parents’ dog Kandie. But when you’ve reached 14 1/2 yrs old as a dog, you can relax as much as you want!

So this layout is about Kandie, which was inspired by Bo Bunny’s November Sketch Challenge!

This is the Life

BoBunny_November_Sketch_Challenge

As you can tell, I stayed pretty true to the sketch. I used all Bo Bunny papers and bling, with the alphas coming from Basic Grey and my tag is out of my stash.

This is being combined with ACOT’s Supply List Challenge. I chose to use Gray color (alphas); jewels; tag; circles (3); words printed on your background paper (woof, bark, and howl).

Layout: My Little Sweetie

I came across these photos of Penny Lane when she was just a pup – about 6 months old. She was so little! And looking oh-so-cute!

My Little Sweetie

This layout is based on Let’s Get Sketchy’s Sketch – Week One for September:

September, 2014 Team A week 1

I really had fun with this one, with all the white space. I used washi tape at the bottom and added a cluster of flowers/bling in the corner:

DSCN4967

At the top, I added a small piece of washi, along with a charm/twine, and a brad, with a sprinkling of sequins and mist:

DSCN4966

I cut my title using Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract”, and the Cricut Craft Room to weld some of the letters together:

This layout is also for my Fashion Challenge that I’m hosting at ACOT for the month of September (its due Oct 5th). You all have heard about that one rule – no white on labor day? Well, I say throw out that rule and wear white whenever! So I’m challenging everyone to use a white background, along with ONE other color (mine was lilac) and a metallic (mine was silver). I hope you will come and play along!

Layout: Treasured Memories

This layout of my mom, aunt, and cousin literally just fell into place so smoothly. Its based on a sketch, and the One Word Challenge over at ACOT.

Treasured Memories

The papers are by The Paper Studio, and so is the word art stickers (The Family Heirloom Kit). The flowers are by K & Company; bling flourish is by Zva Creative; arrows are by Fancy Pants; and I used my SewEasy for the stitching. Here are some close-ups:

DSCN3543

The layout is based on Sketchabilities Sketch #111:

sketchabilities #111

I loved the misting, which I used in “Coffee Bean” by Inkadinkado; and the large circle.

I also used this layout for the One Word Challenge at ACOT. The word is “TREASURE”, and you have to use it as your title, but in any format. The Paper Studio kit had these word art stickers, which in my opinion, would be perfect for a title!

Layout: Happy Birthday!

This next layout was so much fun to work on. I had to track down all my yellows and greens for the ACOT Ad Challenge (along with adding a SWIRL somewhere’s) – I have more than I thought, which made it a little easier. And then you’ve got the subject, which would make anything worth while. 🙂

Happy Birthday!

This is Jeffrey’s 10th Birthday picture, taken just last Wednesday morning. Here are a few close-ups:

The layout is based on Sketchabilities Sketch #110:
