Sweet Boy

Good morning everyone! Sketch N Scrap’s newest sketch is brought to you by the very talented Mandy Reedyk:

April 15th

Lots of possiblities for this one! And here is my version of it:

April 15th Layout

I chose sweet pics of my boy, Mr Jeffrey. Just can’t resist those cute ears!

All of those little bits and pieces are from a Kraft sheet of elements from Canvas Corp. Perfect for fussy-cutting!

I used a scrap piece of Kraft cardstock to cut my title using my Cricut and the CCR. The red pattern paper is by Queen & Co, same as the photo mats.

That Kraft Canvas Corp paper is from my Use It or Lose It Challenge for this month. I made quite the dent out it!

Hope you can stop by and play along with us over at Sketch N Scrap!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Too many bones? Never!

This next layout features my little guy, Jeffrey James, contemplating which bone to chew on. LOL. He had several different flavors – peanut butter, chicken, bacon and original and he went with the original flavored Nylabone.

Too many bones Never!

The design for this layout is based on Let’s Get Sketchy Week 1 for April:

Team A Week 1

I stayed true to the sketch, using the 2 photo placement, layering and misting as inspiration. I swapped out the rings for doilies and moved the title over to the bottom left side.

The title came to mind as I was working on the Rewind Challenge (and yes, I realize the period from the question mark fell off). Going back to last month’s Guest Designer Challenge #1 – 31 Flavors. A wide variety of something that comes in many flavors. For my dogs, its their bones.

The pop of green was from ACOT’s Color Challenge, to use as many shades of green as you want (creation didn’t have to be monochromatic). As I’m using the Canvas Corp Kraft pattern paper (BTW, is from my April Use It or Lose It challenge), I thought green would make the rest of the layout POP, with all the Kraft, brown, black and white I was using.

The enamel dots and doilies are from Doodlebug; mist by Tattered Angels and alphas are by Fancy Pants and The Paper Studio. The pattern papers (other than the Kraft ones by Canvas Corp.), are from DCWV (green/brown) and Karen Foster (paw prints).

TFL! 🙂

Layout: What?!?

This next layout is inspired by the Manufacturer Challenge at ACOT and Sketch-N-Scrap’s Inspired By… sketch.

Here is my layout:

What

I used Canvas Corp’s dog pattern paper because the Manufacturer Challenge at ACOT had to be a manufacturer (or more) that started with the letter “C”. I do not have anything that started with a C, except the kraft pattern paper. I was afraid it was going to be a bit busy, so I toned it down with solid cardstock from DCWV and the washi tape (which is by Queen & Co and Eyelet Outlet).

I even fussy cut the circles from the Sampler pattern paper from Canvas Corp:

I had alot of white space in my photo, so I used that as the foundation for my title, and paired it with veneer chevrons from Studio Calico:

The layout is based on the following sketch:

I flipped it to better suit my needs. It was a very fun sketch to work with.

TFL! 🙂
