Count Your Blessings

Good afternoon everyone! This next layout was inspired by Bo Bunny’s awesome July sketch:

July2016sketch

And here is my take on it:

Count Your Blessings

I used mostly Bo Bunny “Country Garden” papers, fussy cutting the sayings, the butterfly and frames. The chipboard frame and flourishes and bling are all Bo Bunny. The small bluish pattern paper, torn, is Bo Bunny “Etc”.  The bling is from my Use It or Lose It Challenge.

Photos are of Lady Lou, Jeffrey James, and Lady Bear back in May 2013. Sadly, the girls have both passed away – Lady Lou in 2014 and Bear last year. I felt the title fit really well.

I’m combining this layout with ACOT’s 3 in a Row Challenge. I chose the Middle Row: chipboard (the flourishes and frames); lined paper (photo mats and background paper); double matted photo (the large one at the top).

TFL! 🙂

Layout: All you need is love….and a dog!

I had alot of fun pulling out all sorts of papers, ribbon, and embellishments for this next layout. Its based on a PageMaps sketch as well as an ACOT Challenge.

Here is my layout…featuring my sweet Lady Bear:

All you need is love...

And its based on this PageMaps sketch, which is part of a contest that PageMaps is hosting:

The black droplets are made from black paint and water, mixed in a little mister, and I used an eye dropper to get the droplets. It is very economically and convenient..especially when you run out of black mist (like I did). 😉

I used Bazzill’s stencil dog collection to stitch the word “Ruff” on the journaling spot.

The challenge at ACOT that I’m combining this layout with is for the Disney Challenge.  What I like about the Disney Challenges at ACOT is that the hostess makes them to where they do NOT need to be a Disney Layout. Very fun. For the month of July, the hostess chose the following digi kit for us to use as inspiration:

ddbn_dreamin_kit-preview-sts1_zpsaa821f8d

We had to use ALL of the colors on our project – Red/Yellow/Black/White, along with metallics and another color. I chose to use a bit of orange (found in my title). We also have to use two or more patterns or elements that are found in the this kit. It can be the polka dot paper with the flowers; mickey ears and the bows. I chose to use polka dot pattern paper (Basic Grey “RSVP” collection) and ric rak (found in my stash).

My complete product listing:
Chipboard pieces, brad, black paw print paper, yellow tag paper, journaling spot: Bo Bunny
washi, tag: Queen & Co
red polka dot paper: Basic Grey
stitching: template by Bazzill
ric rac, misting: from stash

TFL! 🙂

Chewing….and Nuts About Sketches Sketch #320

Nuts About Sketches latest sketch is another two pager. I had so much fun with this one. It always helps when you’ve got a cute furbaby to scrap too! 😉

Here’s my layout – featuring Jeffrey James 2 years ago. He had taken a rawhide outside and started chewing on it. A second later, he got bored with that and ended up chewing on a piece of dead grass. He did that for a few minutes. So if Jeffrey could talk and give someone advice, its that “Chewing on dead grass is more FUN than chewing on rawhide”. LOL!

Here’s close ups of the two pages

Since I went with a long title, I used Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract” to cut it out.

And here’s the awesome two page sketch:

I absolutely fell in LOVE with the banner! And since I used about 90% of the Bo Bunny “Happy Tails”, the chipboard pieces were perfect to make a banner!

Using more chipboard pieces, I decorated the polaroid frame with stars:

“Lazy Days” sticker with the little heart is from Simple Stories SN@P “Dog” collection and the washi at the bottom of the pages is by Queen & Co.

Layout: In My Heart

My first layout of the new year features my aunt and uncle at my grandparents’ birthday party from 2012. It is based on several challenges, including a sketch!

In my Heart

DSCN2735

First, Let’s Get Sketchy offered a very fun challenge for Week 5 – BINGO! I chose the last row across – Butterflies (3 stickers); Chipboard (title and heart); Frame; Stitching; and Doily. I also used Sketchabilities sketch #106 for my design:

#106-sketchabilities

This layout is also my example for the January 2014 Fashion Challenge at ACOT that I host each month. This month, scarves are in fashion, and not just ordinary scarves. But scarves with fun details – polka dots, ribbon, sequins, etc. And you have to have at least 3 layers. There are more details about the challenge over at A Cherry On Top.

I used mostly Basic Grey “Hopscotch” products – papers, chipboard, 3D stickers – which I thought was perfect with this happy photo of my aunt and uncle. The mist is by Tattered Angels; border punch is Martha Stewart; ribbon is Pink Paislee and the doily and bling are from my stash.

TFL! 🙂
