I Love The Way You Love Me

I had a wonderful weekend scrapping with my friends. Our Summer Crop was this past Friday and Saturday at my house. Great food, awesome convo, great time with friends. I managed to do 4 layouts and get started on another one. So each day this week, I’ll share with you one of the layouts.

The first one I did was for ACOT’s Music Challenge. Barb wanted us to select a song that makes us emotional. It could be happiness, sadness, excitement, etc. Since I’m still working on my New Home Owner Pictures, I chose the song “I Love The Way You Love Me” by John Michael Montgomery. Its my husband’s fave song and when it comes on the radio, he turns it up and will sing it to me.

I Love the way you love me

I used mostly Teresa Collections “Nine & Co.” (pattern papers, stickers, brads), with cardstock/flowers from Recollections and bling from Zva Creative.

The layout is based on Sketches in Thyme Sketch #153. And its by one of my fave designers Shawn Lahr! πŸ™‚

Adorable

I LOVE recipe challenges, don’t you? They get you thinking outside the box, digging deep in your stash. And that’s always good!

So this layout is based on a Recipe Challenge hosted by Laura over at ACOT. During the summer, every 2 weeks, she does MMC (Mini Monday Crop). She offers 3-4 challenges, some chit chat, a few games. It really gets the board hopping.

Here’s my layout:

Adorable (2)

The items were chosen from a list, to create the perfect “Picnic“. Mine choices are as follows:
Choose 1:
b. large cooler with ice = cardstock and patterned paper

Choose at least 3, but not more than 6
a. sandwiches = photo mats
c. fresh fruit = flowers
f. pretzels = shaped clips/paper clips
g. cupcakes = a special treat (choose something that isn’t on your list..and tell us) — I used veneer stars
h. cheese tray = stickers
i. crackers = buttons

Choose your beverage:
e. iced tea = add enamel dots, bling, or acrylics in a cluster (at least 3)

Choose your comfort (pick 1):
b. lawn chairs = 2 photos

For the stickers, I really dug deep in my stash, using up some My Little Shoebox, MAMBI, Authentique, Teresa Collins. But they all went really well with my papers (Anna Griffin):

My layout is based on Sketch-N-Scrap’s Sketch #82:

This sketch was really up my alley, with all the layers and clusters of embellies. I was able to add buttons, veneer stars, stickers, bling and flowers!

Layout: My Little Sweetie

I came across these photos of Penny Lane when she was just a pup – about 6 months old. She was so little! And looking oh-so-cute!

This layout is based on Let’s Get Sketchy’s Sketch – Week One for September:

September, 2014 Team A week 1

I really had fun with this one, with all the white space. I used washi tape at the bottom and added a cluster of flowers/bling in the corner:

At the top, I added a small piece of washi, along with a charm/twine, and a brad, with a sprinkling of sequins and mist:

I cut my title using Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract”, and the Cricut Craft Room to weld some of the letters together:

This layout is also for my Fashion Challenge that I’m hosting at ACOT for the month of September (its due Oct 5th). You all have heard about that one rule – no white on labor day? Well, I say throw out that rule and wear white whenever! So I’m challenging everyone to use a white background, along with ONE other color (mine was lilac) and a metallic (mine was silver). I hope you will come and play along!

Layout: Treasured Memories

This layout of my mom, aunt, and cousin literally just fell into place so smoothly. Its based on a sketch, and the One Word Challenge over at ACOT.

Treasured Memories

The papers are by The Paper Studio, and so is the word art stickers (The Family Heirloom Kit). The flowers are by K & Company; bling flourish is by Zva Creative; arrows are by Fancy Pants; and I used my SewEasy for the stitching. Here are some close-ups:

The layout is based on Sketchabilities Sketch #111:

I loved the misting, which I used in “Coffee Bean” by Inkadinkado; and the large circle.

I also used this layout for the One Word Challenge at ACOT. The word is “TREASURE”, and you have to use it as your title, but in any format. The Paper Studio kit had these word art stickers, which in my opinion, would be perfect for a title!
