Sketch-N-Scrap Reveal with Ruby Mae

Good morning all! Today’s Sketch-n-Scrap sketch is by the very talented Mandy Reedyk. I fell in LOVE with the sketch the moment I saw it! I mean, just take a look at it! Look at those fun circle pictures!

December 15th Layout

And here is my take on it:

Brandy Dec 15th Layout

I had a lot of fun with this sketch. The pictures are of my sweet girl, Ruby Mae, a couple of years ago. I decided to tilt it just give the layout more interest. I didn’t stitch my twine, I just used some strong glue to hold it down.

That quote is from a cut apart sheet from the Devoted line from Authentique. I fussy cut the paw print circle, and then added 3D adhesive to give it some dimension. The background pattern paper is also from Authentique.

DSCN6162

The Woof! bubble is also fussy-cut from some pattern paper – from the older Woof! collection from Echo Park. The burlap pattern paper is from KaiserCraft, as well as the arrow sticker. The cork star is Freckled Fawn, and the 2 smaller veneer stars are Studio Calico, which I inked using Clearsnap cat eye ink.

That fun die cut title was a gift from my friend Sara M. She made die cuts for all my babies. The maroon pattern paper is by Karen Foster.

Hope you can stop by and play along with us over at Sketch-n-Scrap!

Moments using NAS #356

Nuts About Sketches newest layout is a two pager, and I used both sides this time to help me scrap one of my dearest friends’ 30th Surprise Birthday Party!

356 - Due 2-8-15

356 - Brandy

As you can see, I stuck with the sketch pretty well, including the 7X5 photo on the 1st page with the banner; but instead of 3 smaller photos on top right side – I just used 4 6X4’s.

DSCN5708

I fussy cut the banner by using a sticker banner from Carta Bella, putting it on the orange side of Echo Park sticker paper, and then fussy cutting it and flipping it over so I can use the lighter blue side of the banner, to better suit my needs. Alphas are Echo Park too, with brads from WRMKs.

DSCN5707

Tag is from my stash, and the cute arrow with the brad is also by Echo Park. Washi is Bella Blvd:

The Echo Park collection I used is “That’s My Boy” – leftovers from my step son’s album. But the sticker at the bottom – “Clearly up to No Good” just says it all! The orange chevron brad with the 2 smaller yellow ones are also Echo Park; with the veneer stars by Studio Calico.

Chew Chew Chew! using NAS #340

When my dogs’ aren’t sleeping, they are usually chewing. On something. That’s why I try to keep bones/rawhide chewies around for them. I have so many pictures, that the latest Nuts About Sketches sketch was really what I needed to get these photos scrapped! The two-page sketch has placements for 11 photos! That’s right! ELEVEN!

340 - 1 Due 10-19-14

As you can tell, I kept true to the sketch pretty well, moving the circle photos around a bit, and swapping out the journaling for a quote:

My title was cut out using the Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract”, tags. I used both negative and positive pieces on my layout.

The paw prints, quote, and dog biscuit was fussy cut from pattern paper called Scrapbookers Painted Page. Red pattern paper and washi tape is from Queen & Co.

Layout: What?!?

This next layout is inspired by the Manufacturer Challenge at ACOT and Sketch-N-Scrap’s Inspired By… sketch.

Here is my layout:

What

I used Canvas Corp’s dog pattern paper because the Manufacturer Challenge at ACOT had to be a manufacturer (or more) that started with the letter “C”. I do not have anything that started with a C, except the kraft pattern paper. I was afraid it was going to be a bit busy, so I toned it down with solid cardstock from DCWV and the washi tape (which is by Queen & Co and Eyelet Outlet).

I even fussy cut the circles from the Sampler pattern paper from Canvas Corp:

I had alot of white space in my photo, so I used that as the foundation for my title, and paired it with veneer chevrons from Studio Calico:

The layout is based on the following sketch:

I flipped it to better suit my needs. It was a very fun sketch to work with.

Layout: Best of Friends

Let’s Get Sketchy’s latest sketch offers so many possibilities, I know it’s going to be one of my faves! 😉

Sketchweek2aug.jpg

And here is my layout – I pretty much stuck to the sketch:

Best of Friends (2)

The pattern paper on top is by Karen Foster, and I used some it to fussy-cut the tags out, making my own banner:

DSCN4832

The background paper is by Paper House Productions and I love the heart and paw print that it let me put the date and the names of my furbabies on the page, without causing awkwardness or making it bulky:

DSCN4833

The photo is of my four doggies in November 2012, just shortly after we got Penny. Just look at how little she was! Time sure does fly!

And the title – “Best of Friends” – was inspired by the Disney Challenge over at ACOT. We had to use a Disney song as our title, or use the lyrics on our project. The title is from a song in the movie “Fox & The Hound”.

The paw prints are by MAMBI and the small alphas are Cosmo Cricket.

Pampered Pooch using NAS Sketch #330

The latest Nuts About Sketches sketch was so fun to use, I’m sure I’ll be using it again!

330 - Due 8-10-14

And here’s my layout, featuring Little Bit, my parents’ little doggie:

Brandy - 330

I used washi tape by Love My Tapes to separate the page, and used some Bo Bunny papers and chipboard embellies.

DSCN4718

The chevrons are hand cut using what was left of the title banner, and the paw print is fussy cut from a piece from Simple Stories’ SN@P! Dog collection:

Layout: Summertime

Last night, I got inspired to pull out some vintage Bo Bunny (Vicki B) to scrap this photo of one of my aunts at my grandparents’ birthday party two years ago.

Summertime

Sometimes I forget this collection – Vicki B – but the shirt my aunt was wearing makes it PERFECT!

This layout is inspired by Sketch-N-Scrap’s Inspired By….#6

3 KHSnS_InspiredBy_June2014

I loved how the background was split in half, with all the layers. And the corner cluster was perfect to put my washi in use! I also fussy cut the flowers out of the pattern paper:

DSCN4483

The chevrons are from Studio Calico, and I used Tattered Angels mist to make them green.
