I know its been a while since I’ve posted anything scrappy related, but with the holidays, its kind of hard to get anything creative done. However, my hubby and I actually got our Christmas shopping done yesterday and I finished the wrapping today. Last week I baked Christmas cookies and mailed off the cards/packages. So now, until Christmas Eve, I get to PLAY! 🙂
With that said, I did this layout featuring our “little” tree for the year. The photos are the “stages” of our tree – bare, lights, garland, and ornaments.
The design is based on Nuts About Sketches Week 295 Sketch:
I am submitting this layout to a couple of challenges. One is for the Sketch-n-Scrap Online Crop they had last weekend. Its for the First Challenge – BINGO. I chose the second row across – season, buttons or flair, multiple photos, three patterns and wood.
The other challenges are over at ACOT. The Music Challenge was to use a Christmas song as your title, and use part of a lyric on your page. I chose the song “O Christmas Tree” and the lyric is at the bottom – “There’s only splendor for the sight.”.
I also submitted this layout to ACOT’s Christmas Challenge. This challenge is very similar to the Music Challenge, as you need to use a Christmas song as your title, but you also need mixed alphas (which I used chipboard alphas for my title; mini alphas for the lyric) and bling (I used rhinestones in my ‘sprinkle’ in the corner paired with wood veneer flowers).
I used Bo Bunny “Mistletoe” papers and my embellishments are as follows:
- wood veneer flowers – Studio Calico
- rhinestones, buttons – The Paper Studio
- chipboard alphas – Basic Grey
- solid cardstock – Bazzill
- mini alphas – My Little Shoebox
Thanks for looking! 🙂
