Dig It

This next layout I’d like to share with you for the A Cherry On Top’s Pet Challenge that I’m hosting this month. This month, you must document your furbaby getting into trouble. Or, if you took pictures AFTER the incident, that counts too. And we’re journaling about it too! 🙂

Dig It

I chose to scrap about Jasmine digging just a couple of weeks after we adopted the girls. The first photo is priceless! Journaling reads:

Jasmine loves to dig! Once she gets started, she can’t stop. She can dig a hole to China if she tried. As bas digging is, she sure does look cute doing it. Now that they are older, the digging is less frequent, and luckily, the holes are smaller.

My Supply List:

  • brown papers, journaling card, “bad to the bone” die cut: KaiserCraft
  • blue paper, title sticker: Echo Park
  • green pattern paper, “super good times” sticker, “best day ever” die cut: Jillibean Soup
  • washi tape: Recollections
  • brads: Eyelet Outlet
  • paw print buttons, bone shaped paper clip: from stash

My Furbaby

Hello everyone. This layout is based on the KaiserCraft challenge to use hexagons. I was going to use my Cricut to cut some out, but I re-discovered in my stash a stencil that has various shapes of hexagons. I used some brown mist to make my background and chose the “Pawfect” collection for my papers, die cuts and stickers.

My Fur Baby

Photo is of my sweet Ruby Mae back in the summer 2015.

After layering die cuts behind my photo and a few on top, I felt the hexagons needed “something” and decided to add more stickers and die cuts to each of them!

Jasmine Grace

Good morning all. No time long see, huh? I’ve just been so busy, hardly have time to sit down and scrap. But I did get to do one page done (took me almost a week to complete it). And of course, its about my li’l girl Jasmine!

Jasmine Grace

This was the second day after we adopted the girls. Just look at that cute little face! I can’t believe they are 7 months old now!

I used KaiserCraft “Pawfect” collection, with alphas by My Little Shoebox. I used the fabulous sketch #136 from Sketch N Scrap

Sketch #136

I stayed true to the sketch and used the hexagon/circle die cuts for my banner

I did this for both the Sept Manufacturer Challenge at ACOT (use a manufacturer that has the letter “t” in their name) and the Sept Rewind Challenge. I went back and did August Manufacturer Challenge (manufacturer must start with K or O).

My Boy

This next layout features my sweet boy, Mr Jeffrey! Just look at this face:

My Boy

The design of this layout is based on Let’s Get Sketchy Sketch, Week 2, March:

I was going to use triangles, but I saw all these word bubbles and thought I’d repeat that shape instead.

This layout is also based on 2 ACOT challenges. The first one is the Spelling Challenge. We are supposed to spell out the word SHAMROCK. Here is what I used:

S = sketch by Let’s Get Sketchy
H = Heidi Swapp “Hello”
A = Alphas (Bella Blvd)
M = MAMBI washi tag stickers
R = red ink
O = October Afternoon die cuts
C = cloud pattern paper
K = KaiserCraft Paw print stamp

The second one is for the Disney Challenge. Melissa is allowing non-Disney submissions and this month, its based on a color scheme. She gave us several choices, but I went with the golden yellow, light blue, red, and neutrals for my color scheme.

Sweet Family Time – Sketches in Thyme Reveal

Today is my turn to showcase Shawn’s fabulous sketch over at Sketches in Thyme. Her sketch offers a place for four photos, lots of layers, tearing and sprinkles!

Team 2

And here is my take on it:

Brandy - February 9th

Still working on Thanksgiving 2014 photos and this sketch was just perfect for them! My papers are mostly from KaiserCraft “Base Coat” (background paper is the flipped side of the sheet from my Use It or Lose It I posted earlier this month). The tearing comes from a sheet from Photo Play. Actually they are just strips that I tore, then adhered them to the back of the woodgrain paper. Stickers and 3X4 title card is also Photo Play. Enamel dots are Freckled Fawn and the washi tape is Little B. The stitching is from WRMKs SewEasy with the gold glittered floss.

TFL and as always, please stop by the Sketches in Thyme blog and join us this month!
