Happy Birthday using NAS #357

I had a blast with Nuts About Sketches sketch #357, and once you see the photos, you’ll see why!

357 - Due 2-15-15

Miss Penny Lane is the star of this show today! Its her 2nd birthday photos taken last November.

357 - Brandy

As you can tell, I stuck pretty good to the sketch. My photos with my products just went with the sketch so well, I made little changes to it!

Jeffrey using NAS Sketch #352

Jeffrey. My sweet boy. What can I say? He loves the camera and the camera loves him!

And what better sketch to work with than Nuts About Sketches? The latest one is a two pager, and it uses one 6X4 and 2 small 2X2s.  Its a really gorgeous and fun sketch!

352 - Due 1-11-15

352 - Brandy

As you can tell, I rotated the sketch, to better suite my needs. I just love the smaller photos in the corner – with the tearing on the sides. Just awesome!

My products consist of Bo Bunny “Happy Tails” (button, enamel dots, bling, pattern paper, border sticker and chipboard border), followed by Prima wood veneer polaroid frames, Queen & Co washi tape and American Craft alphas.

Fun Times on Grandma’s Bed using NAS #351

Good morning all and Happy New Year! Hope you all have had a wonderful time with family and friends!

For this week’s Nuts About Sketches sketch, its a two pager, with room for about 8 photos.

351 - Due 1-4-15

Here is my take, which I used six photos, and made my title larger and swapped out one of the 6X4’s on the 2nd page for my journaling:

Before my parents’ moved in earlier this year, my mom would come down to visit. The guest room turned into her room. And wherever she went, at least one dog followed. And every once in a while, she’d have SEVERAL dogs follow. The queen bed could hold up to SIX dogs!

Here’s some close-ups:

DSCN5625

I fussy-cut the “Man’s Best Friend” tag/doily, and attached it to Jeffrey’s close-up, as he is the “star” of this layout.

DSCN5627

The title is cut from my Cricut, using Opposites Attract cartridge, with a sprinkling of bling.

DSCN5626

I also fussy-cut the “Puppy Love” banner for Lady Lou’s close-up. She was such a beautiful girl!

DSCN5628

DSCN5629

And the two stickers — “DOGS {my favorite kind of people}” and “There is always room for one more!” describes me to a “T”! 🙂

DSCN5630

This was such a fun sketch to work on. Hopefully you can play along too!

Just like Sissy using NAS #349

When we first got Penny in November 2012, she was pretty shy around all the other doggies. But by the beginning of 2013, she latched onto Ruby Mae and really looked up to her. When I saw Nuts About Sketches #349 sketch, I knew these pics of Penny and Ruby together would be PERFECT for it!

349 - Due 12-21-14

349 - Brandy

As you can tell, I pretty much stuck to the sketch pretty well. I used Doodlebug Doilies for the circles and washi tape by Queen & Co.

DSCN5575

The “woof” sticker is Mrs. Grossmans, while the paper clip and doggie button is from my stash.

DSCN5576

I cut my title out with my Cricut, using Bazzill cardstock.

DSCN5577

The “HI” chipboard piece is from Basic Grey and the black bling and purple/black brad is all from stash as well.

This was a very fun sketch to work with and hope you decided to try it out too!

It’s A Dog Thing using NAS #348

Nuts About Sketches newest sketch is a two pager and it has room for 15 pictures!

348 - Due 12-14-14 (3)

I ended up swapping the smaller 3X3’s for 2X2’s from the Dog Sn@p! collection:

I also put the title in place of where the journaling was.

The little bones/paw prints are buttons from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).

Dot paper is Bo Bunny; paw print paper is Reminisce; and cardstock is DCWV.

Chew Chew Chew! using NAS #340

When my dogs’ aren’t sleeping, they are usually chewing. On something. That’s why I try to keep bones/rawhide chewies around for them. I have so many pictures, that the latest Nuts About Sketches sketch was really what I needed to get these photos scrapped! The two-page sketch has placements for 11 photos! That’s right! ELEVEN!

340 - 1 Due 10-19-14

340 - Brandy

As you can tell, I kept true to the sketch pretty well, moving the circle photos around a bit, and swapping out the journaling for a quote:

DSCN5196

My title was cut out using the Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract”, tags. I used both negative and positive pieces on my layout.

The paw prints, quote, and dog biscuit was fussy cut from pattern paper called Scrapbookers Painted Page. Red pattern paper and washi tape is from Queen & Co.

Like a Rockstar using NAS Sketch #338

My cousin’s son had a birthday party at the bowling alley last year and when I get together with family, we usually take some goofy pictures. And at a 7 year old’s birthday party was the perfect place to be goofy!

Here’s the layout:

338 - Brandy

Its based on Nuts About sketches #338:

338 - Due 10-5-14 copy

I pretty much stuck with the sketch photo wise and placement of papers and border sticker and title:

DSCN5104

DSCN5103

The small vellum envelope is DCWV and I put some blue and silver sequins inside it, layering the veneer frame and star on top of it. I thought it was a nice addition to the layout!

The rest of my supplies are as follows:

Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper, border sticker: Carta Bella
washi tape: Queen & Co
veneer stars: Studio Calico
chipboard stickers, clear word art stickers: Mambi
veneer camaera and frame: Prima
vellum envelope: DCWV
U rock tag, sequins, alphas: from stash

All Chewed Out and NAS Sketch #337

My brother’s dog, Max, is so cute and adorable, it isn’t even funny! He weighs in at about 15 lbs (full grown, almost 5 yrs old). I’ve had these pictures of him chewing on a rawhide and then a few minutes later, passing out on it for a while, but never knew what to do with them. And then Nuts About Sketches sketch #337 arrives and wholla! I know what to do with those cute and funny pictures!

337 - Due 9-28-14 copy

337 - Brandy

As you can see, I followed the sketch pretty well. I love how it was designed – with 6X4 photos mixed with two smaller ones, along with the banners.
