Layout: All you need is love….and a dog!

I had alot of fun pulling out all sorts of papers, ribbon, and embellishments for this next layout. Its based on a PageMaps sketch as well as an ACOT Challenge.

Here is my layout…featuring my sweet Lady Bear:

All you need is love...

And its based on this PageMaps sketch, which is part of a contest that PageMaps is hosting:

Here are some close-ups:

The black droplets are made from black paint and water, mixed in a little mister, and I used an eye dropper to get the droplets. It is very economically and convenient..especially when you run out of black mist (like I did). 😉

I used Bazzill’s stencil dog collection to stitch the word “Ruff” on the journaling spot.

The challenge at ACOT that I’m combining this layout with is for the Disney Challenge.  What I like about the Disney Challenges at ACOT is that the hostess makes them to where they do NOT need to be a Disney Layout. Very fun. For the month of July, the hostess chose the following digi kit for us to use as inspiration:

ddbn_dreamin_kit-preview-sts1_zpsaa821f8d

We had to use ALL of the colors on our project – Red/Yellow/Black/White, along with metallics and another color. I chose to use a bit of orange (found in my title). We also have to use two or more patterns or elements that are found in the this kit. It can be the polka dot paper with the flowers; mickey ears and the bows. I chose to use polka dot pattern paper (Basic Grey “RSVP” collection) and ric rak (found in my stash).

My complete product listing:
Chipboard pieces, brad, black paw print paper, yellow tag paper, journaling spot: Bo Bunny
washi, tag: Queen & Co
red polka dot paper: Basic Grey
stitching: template by Bazzill
ric rac, misting: from stash

TFL! 🙂

Layout: Mr. & Mrs.

This layout of my brother and his wife at their wedding came together rather quickly with the help of a Basic Grey Page Kit. I like to mix and match on my own, but I decided to try out this page kit that I found in my stash and other than the title and sketch that I used, everything came from the kit. And I really do like how it turned out.

Based on the PageMaps Sketch for the Scraptastic Kit Club Contest:

I also used this layout for two challenges over at ACOT. The guest designer this month wanted us to create a layout without a title, per say. Instead of using the traditional alphas, she wanted us to use the journaling cards, word art, etc. I chose the Basic Grey Wedding Stickers that say “Mr.”, “&”, and “Mrs.” for my title. My sub title is the chipboard word art “so very lucky”. Pretty much those two items say it all.

The second challenge is for the Take 2 Challenge – using chipboard and/or flourishes. I took both – the chipboard being the ‘so very lucky’ word art, the flower, and the journaling tag; and the flourishes are at the corners, which happen to be rub-ons. All of those items were included in that kit I used.

TFL. 🙂

Layout: 92?!?!

PageMaps is offering a sketch contest and I felt these pics of my brother’s 29th bday last year were perfect!

Here’s my layout:

92

Now, why does my title say 92 if my brother was turning 29??  Well, as a joke, my mom reversed the candles on his cake. Everyone got a good laugh, including my brother.

Here is the sketch:

I also submitted this layout to ACOT’s Use Your Stash Challenge. I had to use 6 papers, 2 labels/tags with journaling on them, a number, and the date. And talk about using up my stash. This layout (with the exception of the numbers, punctiation marks, and foam brackets) uses what is left over from My Mind’s Eye “Hip Hooray” Boy collection. I think I have a few small pieces of scraps and a couple of die cuts, but that’s it! I love using up my stash!!

Layout: Congrats!

I love sketches and PageMaps has done it again! They are having a contest, based on the following sketch:

The following layout is of my husband and a picture of his AutoCad Certficate. In August 2010, he went up to San Antonio to take his exam. Not only did he pass it, he ACED the exam! I couldn’t be happier.

Congrats!

I used some vintage Basic Grey (Basics for the background paper; Marjolaine and Nook & Pantry for the scraps). Also used up some scraps from Fancy Pants (Happy Together). The stickers are Basic Grey “Oxford”. Thought they’d be perfect for the topic!

My journaling is on the tag, hidden:

This layout is the first page to my mother-in-law’s next album that I am working on.

Thanks for looking!
