Layout: All you need is love….and a dog!

I had alot of fun pulling out all sorts of papers, ribbon, and embellishments for this next layout. Its based on a PageMaps sketch as well as an ACOT Challenge.

Here is my layout…featuring my sweet Lady Bear:

All you need is love...

And its based on this PageMaps sketch, which is part of a contest that PageMaps is hosting:

Here are some close-ups:

The black droplets are made from black paint and water, mixed in a little mister, and I used an eye dropper to get the droplets. It is very economically and convenient..especially when you run out of black mist (like I did). 😉

I used Bazzill’s stencil dog collection to stitch the word “Ruff” on the journaling spot.

The challenge at ACOT that I’m combining this layout with is for the Disney Challenge.  What I like about the Disney Challenges at ACOT is that the hostess makes them to where they do NOT need to be a Disney Layout. Very fun. For the month of July, the hostess chose the following digi kit for us to use as inspiration:

ddbn_dreamin_kit-preview-sts1_zpsaa821f8d

We had to use ALL of the colors on our project – Red/Yellow/Black/White, along with metallics and another color. I chose to use a bit of orange (found in my title). We also have to use two or more patterns or elements that are found in the this kit. It can be the polka dot paper with the flowers; mickey ears and the bows. I chose to use polka dot pattern paper (Basic Grey “RSVP” collection) and ric rak (found in my stash).

My complete product listing:
Chipboard pieces, brad, black paw print paper, yellow tag paper, journaling spot: Bo Bunny
washi, tag: Queen & Co
red polka dot paper: Basic Grey
stitching: template by Bazzill
ric rac, misting: from stash

TFL! 🙂

Dog Lover and Sketch-N-Scrap #57

Here’s my 2nd reveal for May Guest Designer spot over at Sketch-N-Scrap!

Dog Lover - Sketch 57

This was taken in Jan 2009 – Ruby is on the right, my parents’ dogs Kandie and Little Bit are sharing a blanket on the other side.

Here’s some close-ups:

Its based on this wonderful sketch that Heather sent me:

I fell in love with the triangles and the strips, allowing me to use up some scraps in my stash. I paired the new Queen & Co Doggie papers/embellies with some older Queen & Co Doggie papers. I dressed up the flair by backing it with a flower, and adding the “love” veneer embellie was the perfect touch to finish the layout!

I really enjoyed being the Guest Designer at Sketch-N-Scrap this month. You should totally check them out. They always have amazing sketches!

Layout: 4:00

My dog Bear has been starting to bark, whine, and/or get excited at 4:00PM. Why? She wants a treat. Usually its a Milk-Bone dog biscuit, but today, it was for an oatmeal and peanut butter dog cookie. They are by Dognation, found at PetCo, in the refridgerated section. You bake them for 10 mins, and once they cool, you give them to your doggies. Mine LOVE THEM. Anyways, Bear will stare at you until she gets what she wants. LOL.

This layout was inspired by the hostess at ACOT who does the Imagination Challenge. This month, she is wanting the TIME as your title. It can be about anything. Well, when 4PM came around today, and Bear was doing her usual whining, I knew that’s what I wanted to scrap for the challenge.

I used Bo Bunny and Queen & Co new doggie papers/stickers, with some Reminisce pattern paper too.

This layout is based on Sketch-N-Scrap’s sketch #52:

I really loved the design and will definetly be using this sketch again!

Layout: Happy Tails

When my ACOT order filled with the new Queen & Co “Dog Days” collection came in yesterday, I was so thrilled to just forget about work and get to scrapping. Well, I had to wait until later on in the day, but I didn’t wait much longer. OMG I love the papers and the stickers and the flairs are adorable. As I was looking thru the challenges and sketches I’ve printed out so far this month, I knew when I grabbed the Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge that ACOT is offering, that I’d do a doggie page using my new goodies!

Here’s my layout with my sweet Lady Bear enjoying the great outdoors!

DSCN3365

The pattern paper and the “You had me at woof” sticker, along with the “My dog” flair and the border sticker is by Queen & Co. The colors work so well with other pet lines – including the Bo Bunny “Happy Tails” collection – which I used a 3X4 journaling card, a 4X6 journaling card and the “Happy Tails” title.

The layout is based on this wonderful sketch:

I was debating on whether I was going to use a light background with dark mist; or a dark background with a white mist. But then I saw the veneer stars in my stash by Studio Calico and I just thought it was the PERFECT touch to the title, leaving the misting or anything else out of the layout on the bottom half (the pattern paper is bold enough IMO). The heart is cut out using MME 6X6 paper pad “Remarkable” and the cork arrow is by Fancy Pants.

This layout is also for the ACOT 3 in a Row Challenge. The hostess gave us 9 items and we choose 3 in a row. Mine are “free choice” (the veneers); color green; and the arrow.

My first reveal!

Good afternoon everyone! Today I have my FIRST reveal on The Nuts About Sketches Blog!

307 - Brandy

And its based on this amazing sketch by Shawn (Sketch 307):

307 - Due Mar 2

I loved the “torn” banners for journaling and used one large photo instead of the two smaller ones. This is one sketch that I’ll definetly use again!

Here is a close up of the journaling:

I used mostly Basic Grey “Fact & Fiction” collection, with washi tape by Queen & Co and brads by WRMKs.

Layout: Life is better with a Dog

I am LOVING the new Bo Bunny “Happy Tails” collection that just came out. Here is my latest layout using papers and embellishments from that very collection, featuring Ruby Mae enjoying the fresh air:

Life is better with a Dog

I paired my new papers with some Inkadinkado doggie stamps (quote, paw prints, “puppy love” phrase and doggie), and washi tape by Queen & Co:

Layout is based on Sketch-N-Scrap’s Inspired Challenge #2:

And with my new papers and stamps, it is for ACOT’s Technique challenge – to use any stamps you want using your newest papers!

Layout: My 2 Boys

Let’s Get Sketchy kicked off December with the most versatile sketch I have ever seen! You can rotate it and make it your own – the combinations are unbelievable!

Dec Wk1

With that said, I flipped the sketch upside down and this is what I came up with:

My 2 Boys

My husband giving Jeffrey back and belly scratches. Cute huh! I used Queen & Co pattern paper, chipboard and washi tape and other items from my stash to polish it off.

I also submitted this layout to ACOT’s “What’s on TV?” Challenge – where I had to use photos of only males and 2 1/2 circles (based on the show – Two and a Half Men).  My circles are the “Bow Wow” die cut, the “Top Dog” metal charm and the half circle of pattern paper.

Thanks for looking!
