Bear’s Album

3 years ago, we lost our sweet Bear to DJD. We experienced ups and downs with her during that time period (6 weeks). I started on her 6X8 album back in March and I did 10 pocket pages over the weekend. They are from July 31, 2015 to August 21, 2015.

I’m using mostly Simple Stories project life cards, with cardstock from stash and embellishments by Sticko, The Paper Studio, and Forever in Time.

Jackson

2 years ago today, this little guy came into our lives. He was 3 months old and he managed to climb on top of our porch swing. He has brought us some much joy.

Last night, I worked on 2 layouts featuring Jackson.

Scrap Weekend with the Girls

Hi everyone! This past weekend I had some of my scrappy friends over for our first crop of 2017. Its always alot of fun and I usually get 4-7 layouts done and I actually surpassed that goal! I completed TEN layouts by the time the last girl packed up her stuff! You guys already saw my Super Star layout from earlier. So here’s the rest of the layouts I did on Saturday.

This is my happy place. I used Simple Stories “Summer Vibes” papers, buttons are from stash. Its based on the sketch for ACOT’s Sketch with a Twist Challenge.

Adventure Awaits. Alphas are Bo Bunny. Everything else is Simple Stories “Summer Vibes”.

And the last layout of the evening…..

Slumber Party with Mommy. Background paper and photo mat is by 7 Paper. The Kraft foiled bone paper is Anna Griffin. Mini alphas are by My Little shoebox and clear stickers are Simple Stories.

Sunshine & Daydreams

Hello everyone! Today I worked with the latest sketch by Let’s Get Sketchy

I was really drawn to the sketch but didn’t know what I was going do. Mixed media/stenciling or paper scraps. And this is what I came up with:

I chose this very happy photo of Penny and Bear from last spring. As I was going thru some papers, I found a super cute cascading hearts stencil and decided to use a Faber-Castell gelato in banana to get started. I sealed it with a glaze.

The various word art stickers are from Simple Stories (as well as the stencil and pattern papers). The sequins are MME and Darice; with the arrows by Studio Calico.

The pattern papers, stencil and stickers are from the Simple Stories “Good Day Sunshine”, which is also from my November Use It or Lose It Challenge.

I love flip flops!

Good morning everyone! Can’t believe how quickly this month has just zoomed by. Today I’m showcasing the final card sketch created by the very talented Lisa Hidy in honor of WCMD over at Sketch N Scrap:

Love the split diagnol background and instead of fall or christmas, I chose a summer theme. I have bits and pieces leftover from Simple Stories “I {heart} Summer” collection. LIterally, just pieces of it! So I used as much as I could on my card, added the sun paper clip and a few sequins.
