Sweet Memories/Life is Good

Hey ya’ll! I have 2 more layouts to share with you from the weekend.

Sweet Memories. ACOT’s Mood Board Challenge.

Sweet Memories

I used the following Mood board for color inspiration, as well as the camera.

We also had to use stamps. I used Basic Grey stamps to stamp my title, the frame and the camera.

I used various products to create this fun, diagnol layout of Jeffrey enjoying a car ride. I just LOVE the red/black against the white background. Looks so striking.

Squirrel!

Hello everyone! I promise, last post for the day! LOL! This is another layout that I did over the weekend. It started a little different than the way it ended, but I really love how it turned out!

Squirrel!

Its based on Lets Get Sketchy Sketch Week 3.

Week 3

I actually started following the sketch…with the chicken wire template concentrated on the left of the photo. I made some rings in a darker ink and I didn’t let the ink from the stencil dry, so it got all ugly and smeared. 😦 I decided to move the photo up and layer the papers a bit more. I ended up hiding the chicken wire design, so I added it to the bottom of the papers/photos.

Next were the Heidi Swapp veneer arrows. They were all different sizes and when I saw the short one, with the circle, I first had the arrow pointing up. My friend Amanda suggested I have the arrow pointing at Penny, since Penny is watching Squirrely from the window. It was the PERFECT idea!

I also did this layout for ACOT’s Spelling Challenge and Manufacturer Challenge. This month’s Manufacturer must start with R so I chose Reminisce’s “Its a dog’s life”. And the word of the month was BIRTHDAY. Here is what is on my layout that spells out BIRTHDAY:

B = Blue background
I = Inking using stencils
R = Reminisce pattern papers
T = Tattered Angels misting
H = Heidi Swapp Veneers arrows
D = Doodlebug orange pattern paper
A = Adhesive
Y = Yellow word bubble

The Best Day Ever

ACOT’s Guest Designer’s next challenge was to USE ‘EM UP! LOL! As scrappers, we tend to buy, buy, buy and only use just a little. We all have that one (or two, or ten) collections that we are just hoarding. Mine is usually something from Basic Grey! And the “Persimmon” collection is what I decided to use with this sweet photo of me and my Papa from Thanksgiving, 2014.

The Best DAy Ever

The papers/stickers are from BG, and I added some mixed media to the background to give the layout some interest. The hexagon stencil is from Crafter’s Workshop, and the mist is from Studio Calico.

Layout is inspired by Let’s Get Sketchy Sketch Week 2, October, by Laetitia. Isn’t it beautiful?
