Peek-a-boo!

I see you! LOL! This next layout features pics from BearΒ  3 yrs ago, sniffing in the ground/dirt.

Peek a Boo

My design comes from Let’s Get Sketchy Week 1 sketch:

13254127_898199543621811_3669647301291159659_n

I basically stuck to the design, swapping out the upside down tag with banners. The large yellow frame is made from washi tape, inspired by MMC #2 Challenge at A Cherry On Top.

The papers/stickers are from Studio Calico; bling is Bo Bunny; and chipboard is Cloud 9 Design – all of these products are from my July Use It or Lose It Challenge.

The watercolors are Shimmerz Inklingz/Creameez.

Sweet Bliss

Good morning everyone! Today, I’m sharing the mid-month sketch by Mandy at Sketch N Scrap:

June 15th Layout

This sketch has so many possibilities! I ended up rotating it counter clockwise to better suit my needs:

Sweet Bliss

All products are Studio Calico – the papers/stickers are from “Sundrifter”, the paper pack from my June Use it Or Lose It Challenge.

I chose the title to fit ACOT’s Title Challenge (I also had to use at least 3 flowers).

Make sure you stop by the Sketch N Scrap blog to see the other work by the talented DT!

Life is Good

Good morning everyone! Today is my turn to showcase a wonderful sketch by the very talented Janessa Franco on the Sketches in Thyme blog. Just look at all the layers!

Team 2

I was planning on using doilies when I first saw this sketch. But the colors/papers I pulled for my photos, doilies were just not gonna work. I almost went with cut files, but I just got my hands on some Shimmerz Texturez in “Gold Mine” and OMG…its my new fave! LOL. And the stencil I chose was a mini sunburst! I love this stuff!

And here is my final layout:

Life is Good

Ruby and Jeffrey hanging out under the Oak Tree in the backyard last summer. The papers and stickers are all Studio Calico “Sundrifter”, which is from my June 2016 Use it Or Lose It challenge.

That “My favorite place” journal card is from a really old K & Company pack. I stumbled upon that card and thought it’d make a great layering piece. πŸ˜‰

The enamel dots/shapes are from October Afternoon.

Make sure you stop by the Sketches in Thyme blog and hope you can play along.

Girls Scrappy Weekend!

My scrappy friends came over this past weekend to, what else, scrap! We had tons of fun! My wonderful hubby made us fajitas and homemade guacamole and chips and for breakfast, we had scones and waffles. YUMMY! It was great!

I managed to get NINE layouts done. Yes, you read correctly, NINE. Usually I only do 4 or 5, but my mojo showed up and STAYED!

Sweet Girl: ACOT’s Cherryland Challenge. I chose MaraschinoΒ  Cherry using a b/w photo with colored supplies

Sweet Girl

This is Awesome: ACOT’s Mood Board Challenge. I was inspired by all the colors – orange, pink, yellow, brown. I liked the large ampersand, polka dots, the white cursive writing (title, love sticker), heart. I used gold hearts and a gold puffy sticker.

This is Awesome

Sew Sweet: ACOT’s Pet Challenge. I used the colors – green, pinks, and teal from the mood board; and the sketch.

Sew Sweet

You are my Sunshine: ACOT’s 3 in a Row Challenge. Used middle column – green, something gold, and twine

You are my Sunshine

My World Revolves Around All Of You: ACOT’s Music Challenge. I was inspired by the solid black background, with the bright colors and the silverish triangle. Instead of triangles, I used circles mostly. Used my shimmerz Texture paste and a stencil, and then cut out my photos into different sized circles. Fussy cut some OLD OLD OLD BASIC GREY (Lime Rickey!) to use as photo mats. Then I fussy cut the wavy paper and attached it to the top and left sides of the page. I cut out my title using my Cricut.

My World Revolves Around All of You

Beautiful You: ACOT’s Spelling Challenge. We had to use the word SCRAPLIFT.
S = Studio Calico alphas
C = Chevron stickers
R = Rhinestones
A = Argyle yellow pattern paper
P = Pink Title
L = “locator” sticker
I = Imaginesce lime green paper
F = Fussy cut arrow
T = Turquoise mini alphas

Beautiful You

I used quite a bit from my Use It or Lose It Challenge that I posted June 1st. Basic Grey β€œLime Rickey” collection, Studio Calico “Sundrifter” collection, and Prima crystal bling.

I’ll be back later with 2 more from my Scrappy Weekend. I know that adds up to EIGHT. The other one was for Sketch N Scrap DT. πŸ˜‰

Oh Hello!

Good morning everyone! Today there is a new card sketch that the very talented Mandy Reedyk drew up and its FANTASTIC!

June 5th

This sketch is so amazing and versatile, there are so many possibilities! And this is what I came up with:

Oh Hello

Cute, huh!?! I’ve had these stickers in my stash for a while. They are sooo adorable, but I always forget about them. So I pulled these and the Studio Calico collection “Sundrifter” from my June Use It or Lose It Challenge. The washi is from my stash and the veneer sentiment is also Studio Calico. I colored the words with Clearsnap pigment ink in Celadon. Amazing how well it matches with the owl!

Make sure you check out the rest of the fabulous work by the Sketch N Scrap DT! And as always, TFL! πŸ™‚

The road to my heart….

This next layout has been in the making for the past month or so. This particular doggie embellishment from Anna Griffin was perfect for March/April’s Graphic Design Challenge, but I ran out of time with being so busy unpacking and working and settling into our new home. The challenge was to use something on your layout (in the photo(s), or an embellishment/element, etc) that is in a color that normally that item wouldn’t be. But luckily, Kim hostesses a Rewind Challenge, allowing us to go back to the previous month and do a challenge that we were wanting to do.

The road to my heart

Here’s a closer look at that dog embellie:

LOL! Dogs aren’t pink with pink polka dots!

The design for this layout came from Sketches in Thyme Sketch #148

may 15

I had alot of fun with this sketch – the splatters, the large pennats, the washi. Its a great sketch!

My products used are as follows:
Pattern Paper, title, sticker: Anna Griffin
pink washi tape: Love My tapes
Love you heart, star, word bubble, heart arrow: MAMBI
White mist: Studio Calico
twine: The Twinery
Camera washi tape: The Paper Studio
tag, pearls: from stash

Moments using NAS #356

Nuts About Sketches newest layout is a two pager, and I used both sides this time to help me scrap one of my dearest friends’ 30th Surprise Birthday Party!

356 - Due 2-8-15

356 - Brandy

As you can see, I stuck with the sketch pretty well, including the 7X5 photo on the 1st page with the banner; but instead of 3 smaller photos on top right side – I just used 4 6X4’s.

DSCN5708

I fussy cut the banner by using a sticker banner from Carta Bella, putting it on the orange side of Echo Park sticker paper, and then fussy cutting it and flipping it over so I can use the lighter blue side of the banner, to better suit my needs. Alphas are Echo Park too, with brads from WRMKs.

DSCN5707

Tag is from my stash, and the cute arrow with the brad is also by Echo Park. Washi is Bella Blvd:

DSCN5706

DSCN5705

The Echo Park collection I used is “That’s My Boy” – leftovers from my step son’s album. But the sticker at the bottom – “Clearly up to No Good” just says it all! The orange chevron brad with the 2 smaller yellow ones are also Echo Park; with the veneer stars by Studio Calico.

Layout: Together and Nuts About Sketch’s sketch #311

I had SOO Much fun working with Nuts About Sketch’s sketch #311.

Here is my layout, featuring my mom with my aunt and cousin:

311 - Brandy

And here is the great sketch that Shawn created:

311 - Due Mar 30

I dug deep into my stash and used some older papers from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). The colors are rich and after adding layers, and foam adhesive, really livened up the papers. Here are some close ups:

DSCN3415

DSCN3416

DSCN3417

The veneers are by Studio Calico, which I misted in three colors – “Its Red” and “Peacock” – both by Tattered Angels; and “Coffee Bean” which is by Inkadinkado. The cork arrows are by Fancy Pants.

Layout: Happy Tails

When my ACOT order filled with the new Queen & Co “Dog Days” collection came in yesterday, I was so thrilled to just forget about work and get to scrapping. Well, I had to wait until later on in the day, but I didn’t wait much longer. OMG I love the papers and the stickers and the flairs are adorable. As I was looking thru the challenges and sketches I’ve printed out so far this month, I knew when I grabbed the Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge that ACOT is offering, that I’d do a doggie page using my new goodies!

Here’s my layout with my sweet Lady Bear enjoying the great outdoors!

DSCN3365

The pattern paper and the “You had me at woof” sticker, along with the “My dog” flair and the border sticker is by Queen & Co. The colors work so well with other pet lines – including the Bo Bunny “Happy Tails” collection – which I used a 3X4 journaling card, a 4X6 journaling card and the “Happy Tails” title.

DSCN3363

The layout is based on this wonderful sketch:

274620-490

I was debating on whether I was going to use a light background with dark mist; or a dark background with a white mist. But then I saw the veneer stars in my stash by Studio Calico and I just thought it was the PERFECT touch to the title, leaving the misting or anything else out of the layout on the bottom half (the pattern paper is bold enough IMO). The heart is cut out using MME 6X6 paper pad “Remarkable” and the cork arrow is by Fancy Pants.

This layout is also for the ACOT 3 in a Row Challenge. The hostess gave us 9 items and we choose 3 in a row. Mine are “free choice” (the veneers); color green; and the arrow.
