Moments using NAS #356

Nuts About Sketches newest layout is a two pager, and I used both sides this time to help me scrap one of my dearest friends’ 30th Surprise Birthday Party!

As you can see, I stuck with the sketch pretty well, including the 7X5 photo on the 1st page with the banner; but instead of 3 smaller photos on top right side – I just used 4 6X4’s.

I fussy cut the banner by using a sticker banner from Carta Bella, putting it on the orange side of Echo Park sticker paper, and then fussy cutting it and flipping it over so I can use the lighter blue side of the banner, to better suit my needs. Alphas are Echo Park too, with brads from WRMKs.

Tag is from my stash, and the cute arrow with the brad is also by Echo Park. Washi is Bella Blvd:

The Echo Park collection I used is “That’s My Boy” – leftovers from my step son’s album. But the sticker at the bottom – “Clearly up to No Good” just says it all! The orange chevron brad with the 2 smaller yellow ones are also Echo Park; with the veneer stars by Studio Calico.

Puppy Smoothies using NAS Sketch #353

This is the first time I’ve only used one side of a two page sketch. I really wanted to get these photos scrapped, but fell in love with the two page sketch. So I ended up using only the left side of the sketch. My layout turned out great anyways!

I ended up using four photos anyways, but swapping out one of the circles with another photo, and just embellishing a bit more.

Dog Gone Cute using NAS #345

Nuts About Sketches newest sketch is a two pager and there isn’t much cropping to do on the photos and it allows the scrapper to add as many embellies as needed!

As you can tell, I stayed true to the sketch, and enhanced some of those “circles” with die cuts from Cricut cartridge “Paper Pups”.

Playtime. All The Time. using NAS #343

When we first got Penny in November 2012, her and Jeffrey played ALL the time, all day long. Naturally, I took pics of them running and playing. I took so many of them, Nuts About Sketches latest sketch (which happens to be a two pager) was perfect to get these pics scrapped!

As you can tell, I stuck to the sketch pretty well. My title goes across both pages, using the larger chipboard alphas for the 1st page, and the mini alphas on the large ring on the second. The photos are pretty much self-explanatory, so I really didn’t need a space for journaling. I’ve had these Reminisce word bubbles for a while and thought they’d be a nice addition to the layout:

The large ring is chipboard, and I used Mod Podge to glue down the pattern paper:

The cluster at top is just scalloped circles punched using scraps, with a clear sticker and paper clip:

Getting the hang of it using NAS Sketch #335

This next sketch by Nuts About Sketches is a two pager and I had so much fun with this one.

As you can tell, I swapped two of the smaller photos for 3X3 cards from Simple Stories, SN@P!, as well as using a 4X5 photo with a journaling card instead of a 7X5.

I didn’t have alot of journaling, so I used pattern paper instead, and used washi tape by Love My Tapes as my borders.

The paper clip is Prima; and cluster of chipboard embellies is by MAMBI. Journaing reads: Penny’s second day with us was full of new experiences. She picked up chewing on a piece of rawhide quickly. November 9, 2012.

I also went ahead and took my idea of using 3X3 pieces instead of photos, and continuing it down the right side of the second page. I fastened them “together” using WRMK’s brads.

Thankful….. with NAS Sketch #331

I am happy to say this is the last set of Thanksgiving 2013 photos! Don’t you just love it when you complete a project? 🙂

With that said, the latest Nuts About Sketches sketch was MADE for these pics, as its a two pager, allowing me to finish the album.

As you can tell, instead of using 7X5’s, I used 2 6X4’s, but matting them on a 7X10 piece of pattern paper. I then continued on to use four more 6X4 photos.

With this being my last page for the Thanksgiving 2013 album, here is a close-up of my journaling:

It reads: Thanksgiving is more than just having lots of food, including fried turkey and plenty of pumpkin pie. Its more than having a day off from work. Its even more than watching a football game. Thanksgiving is about making memories with the ones you love. Thanksgiving IS Family! And family is what I’m thankful for each and every Thanksgiving.

My pattern papers are from an SEI kit, along with the rub-on and two circle stickers. The banner is made from scraps of Bo Bunny’s “Forever Fall” collection, along with the chipboard pieces. My title and the small “Things I Love” epoxy sticker is by Basic Grey. The rain dots are from Cloud 9 Design.

Age is just a Number with NAS #319

The latest Nuts About Sketches sketch uses a two pager. I really enjoyed this one as I could use my pics w/o cropping them! And I had the perfect ones for the orientation too!

I really loved the tearing at the bottom, and the large circle. Instead of journaling, I used a decorative pattern paper on the sides, then used some My Minds Eye washi tape. All the other products is Basic Grey “RSVP” collection.
