It’s A Dog Thing using NAS #348

Nuts About Sketches newest sketch is a two pager and it has room for 15 pictures!

348 - Due 12-14-14 (3)

I ended up swapping the smaller 3X3’s for 2X2’s from the Dog Sn@p! collection:

I also put the title in place of where the journaling was.

The little bones/paw prints are buttons from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).

Dot paper is Bo Bunny; paw print paper is Reminisce; and cardstock is DCWV.

Kandie & LB using NAS sketch #346

I don’t scrap two pagers often, but when I do, its usually a Nuts About Sketches sketch. Why? Because Shawn’s sketches are so unique, combining different size photos and fun elements.

With that said, this next two pager has room for 12 pictures!

346 - Due 11-30-14

346 - Brandy

I stayed pretty true to the design of the sketch, but ended up using a 6×3 photo instead of 2 3X3’s on the first page; followed by swapping out some of the smaller photos for some SN@P! cards:

Cards/stickers are Simple Stories; dotted paper is Bo Bunny; washi tape is Bella Blvd. Colorful paw print paper is the Paper Studio. Brads are from my stash.

Chew Chew Chew! using NAS #340

When my dogs’ aren’t sleeping, they are usually chewing. On something. That’s why I try to keep bones/rawhide chewies around for them. I have so many pictures, that the latest Nuts About Sketches sketch was really what I needed to get these photos scrapped! The two-page sketch has placements for 11 photos! That’s right! ELEVEN!

340 - 1 Due 10-19-14

340 - Brandy

As you can tell, I kept true to the sketch pretty well, moving the circle photos around a bit, and swapping out the journaling for a quote:

My title was cut out using the Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract”, tags. I used both negative and positive pieces on my layout.

The paw prints, quote, and dog biscuit was fussy cut from pattern paper called Scrapbookers Painted Page. Red pattern paper and washi tape is from Queen & Co.

Goofy Family Moments using NAS sketch #329

I had a lot of fun with this next sketch, using some silly family memories from last Thanksgiving.

Here’s the two page sketch #329 from Nuts About Sketches:

329 - Due 8-3-14

And here’s my layout:

I stuck to the sketch pretty good, except I replaced the two 4X5’s with my title and the misting:

The green tiny brads are WRMKs, and the chevron washi tape is Queen & Co. All other products are Basic Grey – “Hey Girl!”, “Knee Highs & Bow Ties”, and “Fact & Fiction” collections.

Chewing….and Nuts About Sketches Sketch #320

Nuts About Sketches latest sketch is another two pager. I had so much fun with this one. It always helps when you’ve got a cute furbaby to scrap too! 😉

Here’s my layout – featuring Jeffrey James 2 years ago. He had taken a rawhide outside and started chewing on it. A second later, he got bored with that and ended up chewing on a piece of dead grass. He did that for a few minutes. So if Jeffrey could talk and give someone advice, its that “Chewing on dead grass is more FUN than chewing on rawhide”. LOL!

Here’s close ups of the two pages

Since I went with a long title, I used Cricut cartridge “Opposites Attract” to cut it out.

And here’s the awesome two page sketch:

320 - Due 6-2-14

I absolutely fell in LOVE with the banner! And since I used about 90% of the Bo Bunny “Happy Tails”, the chipboard pieces were perfect to make a banner!

Using more chipboard pieces, I decorated the polaroid frame with stars:

“Lazy Days” sticker with the little heart is from Simple Stories SN@P “Dog” collection and the washi at the bottom of the pages is by Queen & Co.

Waiting for Squirrely using NAS Sketch #314

Yes, the “y” at the end of the title is on purpose. That is what we say to get the dogs (especially Penny) excited about a squirrel. We call it “squirrely”. With that said, I’ve got a fun two pager using Shawn’s latest sketch:

DSCN3619

Here is the sketch:

Due 4-20-14

I loved all the photos going across, with a spot for journaling. Here are some close-ups:

DSCN3617

DSCN3618

These photos were taken back in September 2013. Prior to that, we had the tree within the yard, fenced in. Penny loved that because she could watch “squirrely” all day long, bark at it, etc. Well, in September of last year, we decided to put up a new fence and at the same time, move the fence in by 5 feet. That means, the tree would be OUTSIDE of the fence. And, as you can tell, Penny wasn’t very pleased with that.

DSCN3621

I used my Cricut to cut out the alphas and the statement:

The pattern paper and “Squirrel!” sticker is by Reminisce; Arrows are Fancy Pants; and veneer chevrons are by Studio Calico. I used mist by Maya Road to color the arrows and chevron pieces.
