November Use It or Lose It

Good morning everyone and welcome to my monthly challenge “Use or Lose It!” I did pretty good last month, using quite a bit of the stuff I pulled from my stash. Here are those items that got used up:

  • Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
  • Sun paper clip
  • Simple Stories “I {heart} Summer”
  • Wild at Heart collection
  • Bella Bohemia Collection
  • Lily Davis felt letters
  • Doggie quotes – stamps
  • Let’s Eat Cake collection

A few small items didn’t get used, so they are getting a ‘second chance’:

  • Basic Grey fabric brads
  • Burgundy bling
  • Simple Stories Flair
  • Basic Grey “Evergreen” chipboard alphas

And speaking of second chances, I used BOTH of the “second chance” items from September:

  • Butterflies
  • Lilac and pink mixed bling

So, lets kick off November with the items that I pulled to try to use:

Bling – different shades of purple
LYB pocket with strips. Remember those?
Mini green glittered brads
A pre-made white bow.
Kitty and doggie ribbon

7 Paper pet stamps. Now that we have Jackson, I can try to use the kitty ones too!
Elle’s Studio “Thankful” cork embellies. I have the entire paper collection and haven’t opened these up.

Jillibean Soup – Chit Chat Chowder. I pre-ordered this collection and the Hardy Hodgepodge and have already made a few layouts with that one. Would like to open this one up too and try to make something.

Remember these from Martha Stewart? The corner punch and with border? I forget about it.

Simple Stories “Good Day Sunshine”. I did so well with the older summer collection, all I have is scraps and 2 pieces of chipboard, some word stickers and 2 brads. Figured I’d see how far I get with this collection!

Basic Grey “Sultry” collection. This is it. This is what I have left. Let’s see what happens!

As always scrappy friends, wish me luck and I’ll try to come back periodically thru the month and show you what I use up! 😉

Book Club Gals

Good morning everyone! Sketch N Scrap’s latest sketch is a fun one!

And here is my take on it:

I used only one photo, and created a banner for my title. Instead of journaling, I used a PL card and altered where the embellishments go.

I went with a gold/black/white color scheme to submit to ACOT’s GD Challenge #1. It worked out as I’ve pulled the “Wild at Heart” paper pack to use for October’s Use It or Lose It Challenge. The alphas, gold chevrons are by The Paper Studio (just like the paper pack). Hearts are American Crafts; puffy sticker and arrow is Heidi Swap; washi tape is Queen & Co.

Make sure you stop by Sketch N Scrap’s blog to check out the rest of the fabulous creations by the Design Team. You’ll have all month long to play along too!

Celebration – Sketch N Scrap Reveal

Good morning everyone! Today I’m back with a card that was designed by Mandy Reedyk for our month long celebration of WCMD. It has tons of potential for being rotated and its a sketch that will be used alot!

And here is my take on it:

I rotated it 90 degrees, counter clockwise. I made a birthday card, using the “Let’s Eat Cake” collection from The Paper Studio (pulled for my October Use it or Lose it challenge).

And our Flashback Friday Designer is SUSAN RENSHAW! So make sure you stop by Sketch N Scrap blog to check out her card, and the other DT’s work.

Hope you can join us! TFL! 🙂

You’re my favorite!

Hello everyone! I’m up on the Sketches in Thyme blog today, showcasing a sketch by Bev Code:

I was instantly drawn to this sketch because of the all the mixed media. I had so much going in my brain, I ended up using a gelato, 2 Shimmerz products and modeling paste using stencils, the packaging technique and even some stamping!

And here is what the completed layout looks like:

I used papers from “Wild @ Heart” by The Paper Studio, along with bits and pieces from various manufacturers – MAMBI, The Paper Studio, Heidi Swap, American Crafts. And sequins and bling too!

The lips were fussy cut from pattern paper.

The stamped quote reads: “Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog.”

For a completed list of items used, please see below:

title, chipboard heart, “perf” sticker: MAMBI
pattenr papers, paper clip, chevron stickers: The Paper Studio
stamps: Inkadinkado
sequins: Teresa Collins, Darice
gold heart: American Crafts
“beautiful day”, “go for it” stickers: Heidi Swapp
washi tape: Little B
paw print stencil: My Favorite Things
gesso: Pro-Art
dot stencil: Studio Calico
modeling paste: Liquitex
gelato: Faber-Castell
Vibez, texturez: Shimmerz
watercolor brush: Zig
bling: from stash

The pattern papers and stamps are from my October use it or lose it challenge, and the bling is from the “second chance” pile from September.

Make sure you stop by Sketches in Thyme’s blog and hope you can play along. This sketch will be featured all week.

October Use it or Lose it

Good morning everyone and welcome to my monthly challenge “Use or Lose It!” I did pretty good last month, using quite a bit of the stuff I pulled from my stash. Here are those items that got used up:

  • Zazz glitter glue. I used them a few times. Had to throw out 2 of the bottles since they turned into liquid
  • Flowers from Prima. I used all but ONE.
  • Dear Lizzy PL-style cards. There are 2 left.
  • Fancy Pants “Park Bench” border sticker sheets.
  • Cloud 9 Rain Drop alphas in yellow. I only used a few of them.
  • Bo Bunny “Forever Young” chipboard. I used half of the package
  • Inkadinkado doggie stamps
  • Basic Grey “Second City” 6×6 paper pack
  • MAMBI “LOVE” collection pack – surprised to say I made about 3 layouts using this paper
  • The paper Studio “Family Heirloom” collection

Here are two items I didn’t get to use, which will be given a second chance:

  • Butterflies
  • Lilac and pink mixed bling

I also did pretty good using some “second chance” items from August. Those were:

Here are the items that I didn’t get the chance to use, but will getting a 2nd chance this month:

  • Bling
  • Chalboard flags from AC
  • Basic Grey “Highline” chipboard

There were 3 items, even with a second chance, that I never got around to using:

  • Ribbon
  • Lily Davis chipboard alphas
  • A sticker sheet about friends and gardens

Now what is my challenge for October?

Martha Stewart Butterfly punch.
Basic Grey fabric brads
Sun paper clip
Burgundy bling
Simple Stories Flair

Who bought the entire collection of Simple Stories “I {heart} Summer” when it came out? I did! I did! Now this is all is left.

I just bought this at Hobby Lobby because I loved the gold and black and purple and fun patterns.

Here’s another Hobby Lobby pack. This would be perfect for heritage layouts. Or rich fall layouts.

More green chipboard alphas. I figured its closer to christmas and I can make cards. Basic Grey “Evergreen” and Lily Davis felt letters.

Doggie quotes – stamps!

One more Hobby Lobby pack. LOL. Birthday collection. I do need to make some bday cards. This would be perfect!

So as always scrappy friends, wish me luck!

Just a few layouts

Hello everyone! Today I’ve got 3 layouts and 2 cards that I have created this weekend. And as you can tell by the title, they all use Basic Grey!

Hi There

Good afternoon everyone! I bet you all are ready for the weekend! I know I am!

Today, I’m sharing with you a layout that I did for my Fashion Challenge on ACOT. Its based on the following Pinterest image:

Fashion Challenge

I just love the color combo, don’t you?!? Here is my take on these gorgeous colors:

Hi There

A cute selfie of Lady Lou and I from 2013. She was such a happy girl!

I used papers/stickers from Fancy Pants “Park Bench”. The chevrons are actually the border strips that I fussy cut from my Use It or Lose It post. I even used the stamps (paw prints, bone, and doggie) from Inkadinkado.

The bling is Prima and MME.

TFL! 🙂
