So many blessings…

Good morning everyone! Sketch N Scrap has a brand new sketch by Mandy:

August 15th Layout

And here’s my take on it:

So many blessings

I used 2 white doilies instead of one large circle, adding a journal card. Journaling reads:

My cousin Randy gives out the best hugs. Just look how happy my aunt is!

The doilies are Bo Bunny; enamel shapes are Webster’s Pages and cork ampersand is Studio Calico. All other products – pattern paper, journal card and die cuts – are from Elles Studio “Thankful” collection. When this collection first hit stores last year, I was hesitant, as it was blues and pinks and turquoise. A bit odd for family and “thanksgiving” pictures. But my fave store – A Cherry On Top – offered all Thanksgiving/Autumn collections 40-70% off during the 4th of July. The more I looked at the collection, the more I wanted it. And I snagged most of it. LOL. 2-4 sheets of each paper, die cuts, journal cards, embelliest, etc. Once it was delivered…WOW! It was even more gorgeous in person. I’m so happy I bought it!!

Sketch N Scrap NSD Sketch Reveal!

Good morning and welcome to National Scrapbooking Day! Sketch N Scrap is revealing a brand new sketch just for the occasion!

May 7th Sketch

Lots of possibilities with this one!! I stuck to the sketch pretty well, using one photo and one project life card:

May 7th Layout

I used papers from Webster’s Pages and cork embellies from Elles Studio and Freckled Fawn. Alphas and washi are from my stash.

Best Story

Still trucking along with Thanksgiving 2014 photos, lol. After posting this next layout, I’ll have 2 more to do. Yay! LOL!

So me and my cousin Katharine are goofy when we get together, and naturally, there are photos to show off our goofiness.

Best Story

I used products from Webster’s Page – love the colors, patterns and the PL card was PERFECT (“Our Quirky Traditions”). Just had to use it!

The brads are MME, and they are from my April 2016 Use It or Lose It Challenge. I used about half the package!

The enamel dots are from Doodlebug and veneers are Freckled Fawn. I colored the title with a gelato, submitting this layout for

Sketch N Scrap Throwback Thursday #4

Good morning everyone and welcome back to another Throwback Thursday with Sketch N Scrap! Today Katty is hosting sketch #63 by Kelly Holifield:

March 24th - Katty as Hostess

And here is my take on it:

March 24th Layout

I chose to use one photo, and substitute the 3rd photo spot for a PL card.

My papers are from Webster’s Pages, enamel dots and cork embellies are Freckled Fawn.

Make sure you stop by Sketch N Scrap blog and check out the rest of the DT’s fabulous layouts. Hope you can play along with us, and as always, TFL! 🙂

Forever Family

Good afternoon! I have another family-oriented layout to share with you. This one uses a sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy:

12400909_819276678180765_8548750317331526561_n

I fell in love with this sketch the moment I saw it. One photo. Misting. Triangles. And here is what I came up with:

Forever Family

All the papers are from Webster’s Pages, with alphas by The Paper Studio; mist by Studio Calico; enamel dots by Doodlebug; paper clips by Freckled Fawn; and “say cheese” die cut by October Afternoon.

I used this month’s Graphic Design Challenge for inspiration. This month, the hostess is having a rewind style challenge, going back to 2012 and the first couple of months from 2013. This one is based on October 2012 Graphic Design Challenge where we had to use a black background with bright papers and white title.

Thanksgiving Hugs and Nuts About Sketches #327

If you don’t want to crop those 4X6 photos, then this next sketch from Nuts About Sketches is for you!

327 - Due 7-20-14

I chose to scrap photos of me hugging my cousins, who I am extremely close to. They are like my brothers.

327 - Brandy

I used some older stash on this layout. I do not know who makes the pattern paper I used. The chipboard leaf and bling are by Bo Bunny.

The alphas are Webster Pages:

And the stickers are by SEI:

Layout: Hippie Chick – Stardust

Sketchabilities has another GREAT sketch out and again, I had to try my hand at using gesso, misting, inking – and I added paint to the layout too!

Hippie Chick - Stardust

This photo is of my BFF dressed up as a Hippie for Halloween. With such a fun photo, it was easy to have fun with the layout, too!

Here’s the fun sketch – #100

#100 Sketchabilities

Most of my products are Webster’s Pages (ACOT Manufacturer Challenge) – papers, transparencies, journaling tags, resin embellishments, ribbon, alphas, and feathered flower.

Layout: My New Extended Family

I love being challenged, and I usually partake in many challenges over at A Cherry On Top. PLUS I LOVE sketches! So while working on this layout that needed to use a transparency and washi tape (Technique Challenge), I managed to use this week’s Nuts About Sketches Sketch AND combine with ACOT’s Guest Designer Jouraling Spot/Tag Challenge (decorating journaling card(s)).

My NEW Extended Family

This layout is for my Mom’s album that I’m working on. This is the first page for the 5th installment. It was taken in 2007, one day after mine and hubby’s wedding. Its my parents, me and my hubby and his family (mom, grandparents, aunts, and a cousin) at our favorite restraunt.

Here’s a more detailed look at the decorated journaling cards and border

I used mostly Webster’s Pages “Park Drive” collection. And here’s the sketch I used:

Thanks for looking! 🙂
