Layout: A Summer Pool Party

Sketch-N-Scrap has a new sketch and I felt it was perfect with some summer doggie pool pictures paired with the die cut challenge over at ACOT.

Here’s the sketch:

And here is my layout:

A Summer Pool Party

Little Bit is cooling off his feet (he’s not too fond of the water) and Ruby likes to ‘bite’ the water. LOL. I struggled getting these photos scrapped because I didn’t want all my doggie summer pics to look the same. Sketch-N-Scrap sketch #41 helped me in the design, and ACOT’s Die Cut Challenge helped me tie it all together. The challenge was to use 3 summer-related die cuts, including the word “Summer” somewhere’s. With receiving a Cricut Expression 2 for Christmas just last year, I do not have very many cartridges. I came across “H2O”, and when I saw there was a pool die cut, I knew I had to have it! I was able to get it digitally thru the CCR. I also used the cartridge to cut out the sun. The butterflies are from the Paper Pups cartridge; and the title is using “Opposites Attract” cartridge.

At first I thought it was done, but decided to use a small paw print stamp to stamp across the white band of the die cut pool, and added little Twinkle Drops from Queen & Co. I think that all helped tie the layout together.

Thanks for looking! πŸ™‚
