Layout: Full of Colorful Life

I finally found the perfect pics to use Sketchabilities latest sketch with. These are pics taken of my friend Deborah during the September 2013 Crop at my house:

Full of colorful life

We all received a paint swatch in our goodie bag and she was fanning it out, making it into a beautiful color wheel.

Here’s the sketch:

#108-Sketchabilities

I used paper clips instead of clothespins and cut out circles instead of just focusing on the medium sized half circle like in the sketch.

I’m also submitting this layout for two challenges over at ACOT. The first one is for the Shape Challenge – using hearts and arrows as embellishments. I used 3 chipboard hearts and two cork arrows by Fancy Pants.

The other challenge is the Old is New Again.  I had to use something on my project that was at least 3 yrs old. My paper clips and buttons I used I have had in my stash forever! I also had to use colors that aren’t traditionally seen as Valentine’s Day colors. So I chose greens and oranges from Bo Bunny’s “Vickie B” collection, as well as adding a bit of blue and yellow with a touch of brown. I also had to include one sentiment sticker (I used the word “wonderful”) and at least one heart (which I did, I used three).

TFL! 🙂

  1. Brandy this is gorgeous! You did such a great job showcasing those colorful photos! Love your take on the sketch and how you substituted the paper clips and the full circles!

  2. You did a fabulous job with this sketch! I’ve looked at it and can’t figure out how to make it work for me. Anything with a clothesline I’m kind of “over.” lol. But you did fabulous! I LOVE the yellow circles and how they pop on the orange background, which I LOVE the distressed look on it too. You did a great job with the sketch!
